- ViaBenGreater London, UK800 contributionsThe very tall and imposing dome on top of the church is the symbol of Novara and a very recognizable landmark visible from far, far away.
The church is beautiful, with many richly decorated chapels, a huge iron chandelier and the golden statue of Christ the Saviour, and from the outside the contrast between the original baroque church and the neo-classical dome is striking.
We did not have time to go up the dome, and that's a very good reason to go back.Written September 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has many stuffed animals, from small to very large.Written July 28, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marina RRome, Italy284 contributionsI booked a table on the morning for lunch at 12.45 (in Novara it is important to book in advance in touristy or places used by locals). Maybe the best risotto mantecato con parmigiano had in a long while. - ViaBenGreater London, UK800 contributionsBeautiful and elegant Neo-Classical cathedral right in the middle of the city. Though there has been a church in this location for over 16 centuries, most of the building dates to the 19th century.
Columns on the square, columns all around the parvis, columns supporting the church porch and imposing ochre-coloured columns inside.
The interior is exactly what you would expect from an Italian cathedral, with paintings, frescos, chandeliers, saints and madonnas everywhere.
The baptistery, the bell tower and the peaceful cloister and the back are part of the older original structures.
Absolutely worth a visit!Written September 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The sits are quite comfortable, and the whole atmosphere feels like you are back in time. - dmittlemanPalm Beach Gardens, FL1,444 contributionsThis old palace is beautiful and ornate. It has not been kept up, however. Despite the sad state of repair, the elegant old home is still worth a quick look.Written January 18, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wherewego.cityhideoutZagreb, Croatia1,541 contributionsWe are with a small kid and looking for a place where we could relax and kid to play we found Parco dei Bambini. It is a paradise for children and nature lovers. For children there is an amusement park that has very good content and a multitude of different devices to play. We loved it.Written August 13, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- ViaBenGreater London, UK800 contributionsThe original castle dates back almost 800 years, but most of the buildings and defensive walls are either from the 15th or 19th centuries with a few brilliant modern additions built in the last 20 years.
The buildings are only open for events, but the main courtyard and the surrounding park are ideal for a pleasant walk or taking a break while visiting Novara.Written September 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As a monument, it is interesting and reminiscent of the much older Pyramid of Gaius Cestius in Rome. It's worth a quick photo stop.Written January 18, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
