Must visit when on Lake Garda!
Vey easy to find and magnificent view from the top. Excellent pictures from the tower and amazing view on the Malcesine town bellow.
Ticket price for adults are 8 EUR per person, and 4 EUR for children, and it is definitely worth the visit. No need to reserve in advance.
But if you visit in summer time, bring water and SPF.
In the castle there is always some excellent exhibition, so you will not be bored in any case.
Parking is outside the Malcesine town, because the whole town is pedestrian (ZTL) zone, so you can park in the garage under the Monte Baldo cable car of Malcesine (cableway), across the street from the main walking (shopping) street in Malcesine.
    We recommend!

Expensive but spectacular! At the top, there are walking opportunities, a cafe and a restaurant. The views are breath-taking.

Very nice lake side just before the city coming from the north. This is a little bay and there’s a free pebble beach.

The Antica Pieve di Santo Stefano is a beautiful Church - ceilings and plasterwork. It is over 1200 years old (8th C). Lovely Church in middle of Malcesine worth the visit.

We entered this building hoping to see the interior but there was a rehearsal underway for a forthcoming concert and access was restricted for a couple of hours. We therefore had to satisfy ourselves with what we saw in the internal area that was open to visitors and the external garden area adjoining Lake Garda.

Really good swimming spot. The water gets deep - quick. It’s not great for young kids or anyone who isn’t good at being in deep water.

There’s a promontory over the bay from which you can safely dive into the water - and I mean dive. Due to the depth of the lake here there’s no issues at all going in headfirst from the 2m “board” which is next to the carabiner securing a tight rope from one end of the small bay to the other. There are also several points from which you can plunge about 5m into the deep blue waters.

Or if you’re feeling unadventurous you can just watch the local teens show off.

Worth popping in if walking around the lake to Cassone. There are also some lake fish in tanks outside. Next to the small harbour and where the river runs into the lake.

We went into this little church, which was quite pretty and in a small square in Malcesine, but we would have liked to have lit a candle for some loved ones. There were some candles already lit but there weren’t any fresh ones that we could use, so we left disappointed.
