What travelers are saying
- Simon WFareham, UK3 contributionsAffordable and unpretentious beach club with friendly English speaking staff. The facilities are fairly basic but we paid €80 as non residents for a daily rental of a large beach shelter with sun beds and deckchairs which is actually very reasonable for Forte del Marmi. The good WiFi on the beach was a big plus for our teens and drinks/food were reasonably priced. It was pretty quiet given it was peak season and we didn’t have to pre-book.Written July 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrea BAbington, Pennsylvania, United States2 contributionsMy husband and two teenage sons went here for the day on vacation! Would highly recommend. I speak a little Italian but it's not necessary. The staff were very warm, friendly and accommodating. Grazie mille :)Written July 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AnnieMacEdinburgh, UK3,411 contributionsNice place to walk out & view the mountainous landscape. Great views along the beach & of surfers trying to catch a wave or two! A few seats at the end.Written June 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- WilmaArnhem, The Netherlands95 contributionsInteresting market with lots of shoes, bags, clothes, jewelry and tableware. But also fur coats and beautiful cashmere.Written October 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- misterconciergeAlbenga, Italy1,735 contributionsWe arrived in Forte dei Marmi last Sunday and we did not think booking a beach. The hotel where we stayed suggested the Bagno Graziella and it was a good choice. Just 2 minutes walk from the hotel, the beach is very nice, clean and well organized. Oreste, the beach manager, is a charming man and he takes good care of his customers. He found a spot for us (on the last row - ok as we did not book) and the following date, for the same price, he upgraded us to a tenda, which was a nice gesture. Would happily go back!Written September 6, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sam BKaty, TX27 contributionsThe drive there from France through endless tunnels was not pleasant although you go through some beautiful scenery.
The town is nice and the People are well dressed. All beaches are private so expect to pay. Don't really care much for the style of the beach layout or the square gazebo style which probably dates back to the early 1900s. Prefer french Riviera style.
Friendly people and great food. Specially when you have just experienced the abrupt french people across the border.
Nice shopping if you like style and fashion. Prices are not cheap but is expected for such a pretty Italian city.Written July 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And towels are scarce and for one full week, they would not replace them.Written August 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stefan DBucharest, Romania11 contributionsService was terrible and food even worse. Ordered simple dishes, like salads and stuff, and it was no doubt the worst meal I had in Italy since two weeks. And extremely expensive for the quality of food and service. Honestly, it is shameful to not be able to make a decent summer salad and charge 26 EUR for it. Not to mention, nobody speaks a word of English. Definitely do not recommend!Written August 11, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A_Baden2014Baden, Switzerland166 contributionsWe've spent some 10 days of beach vacations in Forte Dei Marmi and Bagno Maestrale was suggested by the Hotel concierge as a good beach club with reasonable prices and right quality. Can only say we enjoyed it. Very clear every day, great sand, great equipment, good amenities. Reasonable beach restaurant (a bit impromptu however), with some light foot selections (few pasta dishes, salad, some seafood starters) with reasonable prices.
You can pay for the club entry in the hotel (will added to the bill) - what was comfortable (by the way the daily entry cost you between 60 and 110 EUR - depend on whether you take the Sun shade or cabana; - not the most expensive one in Forte).
All in all: good place for beach vacations, excellent for children (shallow waters and sand).Written August 1, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The scenery is gorgeous and the food is out of this world. Most importantly, Martino Barberi and Stefania Rossi make you feel part of their family. What’s better than that? M. - discostar23Moscow, Russia138 contributionsI got the pleasure of spending time at Alaide this summer with my host family. The staff was very nice and I enjoyed eating at the restaurant for lunch every day. Honestly I wouldn't have been able to afford this place on my own but I enjoyed it nonetheless. This is a beach club and as most of the clubs on the beach it is pricey. There is a free beach down the road if that is more in peoples budget.Written September 5, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
