- juliethetraveller123Greater Manchester, UK255 contributionsBefore visiting La Prisgiona we appreciated the artefacts and interactive displays in the Michele Ruzittu Museum in Arzachena which added so much detail to our visit.
We drove to the Tomba di Giganti Coddu ecchju close by.
Li Lologhi Giants Tomb and the Necropolis of Li Muri were just a few miles north from here.
Tomba di Giganti Moru, Nuraghe Albucciu and Tiempio Malchittu are further away east of Arzachena.
Note that the Temple of Malchittu is a few kilometres walk from the visitor centre, last 100m with scramble over large rocks to reach the temple so sturdy sandals are required and plenty of drinking water in the heat. It is well worth the effort, beautiful views and peaceful setting.Written June 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This one is close to the Costa Smeralda and the Town of Arzachena. A combo ticket is available to visit up to 7 archaeological sites nearbyWritten May 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James LKingsland, GA125 contributionsTempio Malchittu is one of the 7 sites that make up the Arzachena Site. located approximately 15 km from Porto Cervo on the Costa Smeralda, well worth the short drive. Three of the sites are here on either side of the main road. This site requires a walk thru a very well marked and laid out track thru pasture land and forest about 1.5 km. The last bit is a little steep and rocky so sturdy footwear is recommended. There is a small building in the shape of an apse, the remains of a small nuraghe and some great climbing rocks for those strong enough and agile enough to attempt. Once back at the ticket office, a sort walk along a sidewalk brings you to the Tomba di Giganti Moru. If you have time, it’s worth the 15-20 minutes this take. If you are going on to Nuraghe Prisgione and the Tomba di Giganti at Coddu Vecchju, and I strongly suggest you do so, you can easily skip this tomb. Across the road, thru an underpass, you will find Nuraghe Albuccio. Due to its proximity to the other two sites, it’s worth the short walk and a 30-40 minute visit.Written December 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Philip4153Switzerland337 contributionsThis 3500-2700 BC neolithic necropolis belonging to the 'Gallura culture' is nicely presented with raised platforms so that you can see over the whole site of four circular graves with 'lithic cists' (big stone boxes). We paid € 11.00 each for 4 sights in the area including a colour brochure in many languages. The free parking is some meters from the site.Written October 18, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jan U20 contributionsThe pictures say it all. the place is in walking distance from a parking lot near the ticket box. the upper part of the tomb was destroyed and only the burial chamber remains. Not really a good specimen.Written July 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
