We found great results, but some are outside Agrigento. Showing results in neighboring cities.
Limit search to Agrigento.
Valley of the Temples (Valle dei Templi)
#1 of 48 Sights & Landmarks in Agrigento
Book a guide- I highly recommend Lorenzo Capraro with Agrigento Experience who gave us a wonderful and highly informative tour, and brought this site to life.
Amazing valley temples beautiful we walked the length of the sight, then caught the bus back, really helpful quiet a long walk down hill so uphill back it also has amazing views of the surrounding area.

The solemn order of Doric columns, its magnificent façade, its position - everything is flawless... Enjoy the sweeping views of the Valley of Agrigento from the temple site and visit Temple of Concordia at sunset:...

Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Greci
#4 of 48 Sights & Landmarks in Agrigento
When anywhere in Italy, especially the South & Sicily seeing as many beautiful churches is near the top of my list after the Food, and other major sights.
There is still a sense of the sacred in this church, as well as a clear view into layers of the history of Sicily.
Tempio di Ercole

Cannot get enough of these sights, just loved our tour and seeing all this history, and the guides explanation, they are clued up and that is why we love our tour holidays
And take a look at the columns from different angles - the views are so wonderful and prepare you for what is in the making for you: your next stop will be the Temple of Concordia, if you are going from the Wester...

Tempio dei Dioscuri
#6 of 48 Sights & Landmarks in Agrigento
Four Doric columns which date back to the 5th century BC dominate the site with its solemn beauty.
I was looking at it in the view of the city of Agrigento laing behind and was thinking that even after 1000years this will still be standing, but I was not sure about the city with nowadays architecture.
Tempio di Giove Olimpico
#7 of 48 Sights & Landmarks in Agrigento
Tempio di Giove Olimpico/Temple of Olympian Zeus, this is one of the few temples on the site which scholars are confident as to who it was dedicated.
Only the ruins are left now, but there is one very interesting site called "Telamoni", the remains of the statue of the giant atlas... Of course, it was re-assembled, but the sheer size of it tells you the story o...
Statua di Icaro caduto
#8 of 48 Sights & Landmarks in Agrigento
Amazing and impressive are only a couple of words that can be used to describe this site, ands we drove 2 hours in the rain to get to it, it was worth it.
One of the most magical views Agrigento has to offer.

An interesting selection of Sicilian sweet delicacies can be purchased on site, made using the same recipes that have been handed down over time.
They sell sweets as well that they make on site.
