- Otmar W BFort Pierce, FL225 contributionssince there were no tours available I took the train from Palermo, fantastic and on arrival in Agrigento the public bus to the Valle dei Templi, and that is something fantastic, not just those marvels the temples but also the site as such with a gorgeous view down on the Mediterranean, since there were no tour operators the whole area was not crowded at all and a wonderful visit, the return ticket for the 2 hrs ride from Palermo is just 28 Euro with ride thru a wonderful landscapeWritten February 5, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain24,073 contributionsStatua Di Icaro Caduto is a fallen statue of Icar located in front of Concordia Temple in the Temples Valley, in Sicily Island. It was built by Igor Mitoraj in 2011 and really it is great!. The picture of this statue and the temple is wonderful! One of the best views in the area: the old temple and the new statue. Incredible! For history-lovers and art-lovers!

It is a very nice garden, which you can visit if you enter the Temples Valley. It is necessary to buy another ticket to go here, but it is very nice. You can walk and relax and see a lot of different plants and a very very very nice view of the remains of a temple located on the other side. However, you can see it, if you go to a high position, in a little mountain. Very beautiful. Also, if you walk about 15-20minutes, you can arrive to the remains of the temple of Vulcano. Also very nice.Written November 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain24,073 contributionsTemplos di Giunone is the first Greek temple you can see, when you go to the Temples Valleys, in the surroundings of Agrigento, in the South of Sicily. Really, it is wonderful and it is for me the first Greek temple I see out of Greece, Turkey and the Italian Peninsula. It is a very well preserved temple, where you can see his silhouette and a lot of columns. Really great! The best beginning of the visit!

Here you can see a lot of objects from the area. It is very interesting and a very good place to come after visiting Temples Valley. The best statue is a telamon (similar to a cariatide with a man-column). Also, you can see some objects like statues, vases, shields, etc. Very good.Written November 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain24,073 contributionsTemplo Di Ercole (Hercules Temple) is the last Greek temple well preserved, you can see in Temples Valley, in the surroundings of Agrigento, in Sicily Island. It is the most poorly preserved temple of the three (Concordia Temple and June Temple), but you can only see some columns and great views with some trees. Really, wonderful.

One thing that I haven’t seen mentioned is that before you go into the church itself there is a sign to the left to the crepidarium: you go down a narrow trench alongside the base of the original Greek temple and see the columns which are not really visible from inside the church. It’s about as close as you are likely to get now to an actual 5th C BC temple, given that in most sites visitors are kept back behind barriers.Written September 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain24,073 contributionsTemplo dei Dioscuri is a little temple located in Temples Valley, in the surroundings of Agrigento, in Sicily Island. It is the remains of a Greek temple, where you can see some columns. Really, it is a very nice view, especially from Kolymbethra garden. If you walk around the remains of the temple, you can see some columns and stones from the antique temple. Very beautiful for classic greek-lovers.

It was built in a mix of different styles from Arab-Normand to Barroque. In fact, the main nave is decorated in a Barroque-style. The main building was built in the 11th Century. Very beautiful cathedral.

The water is less clean than other beaches on the Agrigentino coast. There are several free parking lots near the beach. Recommended for a regenerating break.Written August 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
