The actual hours of operation are 0900-1500. We took a bus all the way from Dubrovnik, excited to hike the walls during sunset and when we arrived, access to the walls were closed. Oh well. The walls looked amazing! Unfortunate that we couldn’t climb them. Also, just so you are aware, it is €10 per person to climb the walls.

Must do in Ston region. We had a great tour of the winery. Learnt lots about wine making in Croatia. The wines that we tasted were lovely. Organic winery. Must see when you are in this part of Croatia.

Wonderful wine tour and tasting experience! Luka treated as wonderfully and was very generous with the pours. It is a beautiful property, and the wines were very nice!

Ston offers well-preserved old town walls, built in the 14th/15th Century, they are much longer than the walls in Dubrovnik.

I followed a sign for a Franciscan monastery, the door to the church was unlocked but the church was completely bare inside.

Mali Ston is very close by, that area is popular for their oysters. Mali Ston means little Ston.

Wonderful winery. Surprisingly good wine. Very friendly family-owned and operated business. They were gracious and generous. Highly recommend a visit.

Ston is a beautiful village in the Croatia countryside containing the Ston Salt Works. It is so special that my wife insisted that we buy 5 kilograms of it!

We were staying in Korcula and took a ferry over to Orebic to hike Sveti Ilija. This is a challenging hike but we really enjoyed it. We started in Gornja Nakovana, which is the less traveled route. The abandoned town and archaeological site are a bonus add-on for the hike. The hike is quite steep in parts. Bring plenty of water and snacks. I'd recommend stopping for your picnic lunch at the mountain lodge, which has great views over Korcula. Don't miss a stop at the monastery on your way back to Orebic,

Such an amazing experiencing visiting this winery. Wonderful Renata, Ivo and Sime makes you feel at home the minute you enter. Always very attentive and many stories to tell about the area and people. I love the Rose and Renata also makes delicious jams. It is a small and laidback town, made for slow wanders amongst the narrow streets and quiet moments contemplating the most spectacular hilltop views. This incredibly pretty town isn’t loaded with heaps of things to do, and it won’t take you long to cover the highlights, but an arranged trip to see the famous artist Emil Bobanovic Colic is well worth it.

Truly a very beautiful beach. Pebbles, azure water.. You can swim to an island which is very near. Im not very sporty, but with inflatable float it was not a very exhausting swim. When you reach the little island, however, it is hard to find a place to climb out of the water, because the rocks are VERY sharp. So I just admired it from the water and saw nice shells and sea snails. On the swim back at one point there were many beautiful red colored fish. The water is REALLY clean, you can clearly see the bottom even where the sea is very deep. If you pay attention, you can also notice little fish jumping out of the water :)

If youre visiting for more than a few hours, you might miss some more shadow on the beach. I also saw only one toilet from a nearby bar and it was locked and meant only for the costumers.

Dont worry about parking, you will find it along the road, in worst case you will have to walk for maybe 5 minutes.

The wine here was fantastic. The host of the winery also did a great job teaching us about the process and the different varieties. Would recommend if you are in the area and interested in wine

Beautiful winery and camp. The island of Pelješac is beautiful in itself, but with the addition of such places and wineries, it is even more beautiful! The service is top-notch, the staff is top-notch, and the wine, olive oil and pancetta - perfection!!! :)

I came back twice in 3 days to their place and I will always visit them when I'm in Pelješac! They also have a museum. It's beautiful and you can see all the old machinery that was used to process the wine!

Best red wine I ever drunk was Don Josip, 2015.

Beautiful views well worth the rather hot walk uphill. Walk up through the forest as it is much shadier and quicker but maybe spray with bug spray first as quite a lot of insects. Very peaceful and tranquil when we were there.
