As soon as you walk through the arch at the bottom of the street it is like you have time travelled back into medieval times as you marvel at the wonderful design and how they are kept so immaculate.
Quaint old cottages on a cobbled street accessed by a stone arch or a tiny gateway, it doesn’t take long to look around but it’s worth a visit, I thought it was lovely and it’s right by the cathedral so you can do...

We often go to watch the starling murmurations in the winter; with the sun setting and the moon rising and mist rising from the rhynes it is unbelievably beautiful.
What a great spot to see wetland bird life and a murmuration of (we were told) 250,000+ starlings set against the mystical backdrop of Glastonbury Tor.

Ebbor Gorge

Wells 5.2 mi away

This was quite challenging up the rocks through the gorge but absolutely worth it as you were actually walking through the quiet gorge itself rather than around a busy road as in Cheddar.
The Ebbor Gorge is a beautiful place and well worth a visit, though the red route does require some more strenuous walking in places.

Just light enough so you can still see (but still very dark, be careful!), filled with candles, interesting people and the most amazing 'baths' full of natural spring water.

We travel up from Paignton as this massive and well organised car boot is by far the best in the S/W Surrounded by very friendly people ,and some great bargains to be had if you take the time to search.
This car boot is huge in the summer and quite big throughout the year as it has inside areas to enjoy browsing.
