- Shaw2348Westward Ho!, UK4 contributionsFlat golden sand, beach split into dog / non dog area which is great for both types of visitors. Two sets of lifeguards along the beach provide reassurance. Would benefit from an area to rinse sand off feet and shoes.Written June 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gregory M1 contributionI had a billiant experience! Really fun, friendly instructors happy to accommodate and taylor lessons to fit where I was at. It wasn't windy when I booked so they moved things around to fit me in later that same week once the wind had picked up. I couldn't recommend learning with 514 Elemental enough. Really good kit aswell.Written September 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- barngirl_11Uckfield, UK39 contributionsA nice walk (took us about 15 mins to get there from the tidal pool) all uphill on the way as we went via Kipling Tors, but you can walk along the seafront past the spooky House, then take a shorter, steeper path as an alternative.
An old viewpoint named after Rudyard Kipling's nickname for the local woods. The interior has murals, and a bronze window ledge plaque show the landmarks you're looking at.
Fab views along the coast for not that much effort; a great way to spend an hour if the weather isn't beach worthy.
There aren't any sign posts- we took a footpath off the sharp road corner at the west end of the village (tidal pool end) and at each footpath junction we headed UP! The paths are marked for Kipling Tors.Written September 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My husband has been trying to surf for ages and never managed to get up more than for a few seconds, however kept preserving. Today he got up loads, the hire shop staff were brill advised what board he needed and weren’t strict on times etc.. Everything was brill. Prices seemed significantly cheaper than other places we have rented from around the UK too. Thank you :)Written October 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Adam Roberts37 contributionsI stumbled upon this charming small gift shop during my trip and was thrilled with my experience. The shop had a wide variety of presents and souvenirs that were ideal for bringing home to my family and friends.
The friendly and attentive shop owners were always available to help and answer any questions that I had, and they even went out of their way to help me find the perfect gift for my kids.
Overall, this lovely gift shop is a must-visit for anyone looking for a variety of unique and fun souvenirs. The owners' welcoming smiles and cheerful personalities make for a wonderful shopping experience. Not as well known as other courses in the area but RND shouldn't be overlooked and should be a must play when visiting Devon or Cornwall.Written July 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - barngirl_11Uckfield, UK39 contributionsSeafront crazy golf, so bit dated pirate theme, and yes, of course it was busy, with groups ahead and behind (like any seafront crazy golf you’d care to visit). BUT if you want to spend a fun hour or so when the weather isn’t beach worthy, without it costing the absolute earth, this is a great activity. The man in the kiosk offered “any colour ball you like - choose your favourite colour” to our daughter, (and delivered a purple ball!) and a kid size putter. Great fun on a dull morning.Written August 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- SunSeekerwithkidsGloucester, UK259 contributionsNice place. As the name suggests. It's a small (very) bar. Passionate owner. Very knowledgeable.
Not the cheapest but nice to sit in the window seat and change it up from the seaside beers occasionally.Written August 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My only gripe is the ladies loo is upstairs & my old dodgy knees wouldn't make it but that's not their fault.
I would highly recommend for a beer or coffee breakWritten July 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - _geoffimartinDoncaster, UK2 contributionsI did surfing 🏄🏻♂️ with Andy it made me feel great and it was a fantastic experience with the waves and the water. Andy is a very fantastic teacher and he makes me laugh a lot and he makes me feel safe.
Surf & Swim are the closest to the beach which was good for my feet! Plus Andy provided flip flops if I forgot mine (thanks Andy).
I was the best of my family and I got a certificate to prove it. I will put it next to all of my swimming certificates at home, I can’t wait to surf again with Andy, Claire and Amelia my Westward Ho! Best friends, Thank you guys for making my holiday such great fun🌊🏄🏻♂️😎 From Theo (Regi).Written August 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nothing they could do money was not showing on screen .
I was robbed of £120 with no recourse I would strongly recommend not playing on these machinesWritten September 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
