... answered all my questions and narrated the history and geology and the flora and fauna of the park on a pleasant ride to the Sugarlands Visitor Center, the Laurel Falls trailhead and the Elkmont camping grounds.
Gorgeous riverside drive, lots of wildlife, incredibly old historic cabins, churches, a very old school, cemeteries, waterfalls, etc. Had a great day seeing things in the mountains!

The Narrows

Zion National Park
We hiked the river bed, forded the river, admired the magnificent rock formations, noted the ever-changing light and shadow, learned about flora and fauna, and listened to nature's music.
We took the Zion National Park free shuttle to the start of the Riverside Walk and enjoyed the walk along to the start of the Narrows, getting close-up photos of a mule deer and ground squirrels as we walked.
