The visit to the caves were definitely a 5/5! As many other reviews share pictures absolutely do not do the justice they deserve. Absolutely breathtaking sights! I know it may be difficult, but the only recommendation I would make would be smaller tour sizes. Our tour guide did an amazing job! Thank you for the great day!

Going down to the cave of the winds gives you such a great view of the falls from below. It is so beautiful, just know you will get wet!

We’ve been fans since the 90s so it was extra special to get to visit in person finally! Beautiful location, great story, and excellent wines. Worth every penny! Johnathon was a great guide and we can’t wait to return!

Such a cool and interesting place! Had a fun and exciting time with our tour guide Ava! Ava did a wonderful job! They were very knowledgeable, answered every questions we had, and made the overall trip with their fun jokes! 10/10 experience and would definitely come with friends again!

The Lost River Cave, while small compared to Mammoth cave, has a river running through it. The boat ride gave us a different perspective and some additional history to supplement what we learned at Mammoth Cave. It would have been nice had the tour guide turned the boat around so people on both sides could see the cave's formations rather than reversing course and returning to the dock with the boat oriented the same way.

Visited on a Sunday morning during a weekend trip to Luray. Glad we went early, as it was definitely more crowded as we were leaving. Was able to hear the largest instrument in the world! Had a GREAT time chatting with a gentleman who was actually responsible for the caverns’ maintenance (remember: SOMEONE has to replace those lightbulbs and pick up the money people throw in the water - #rude). He was so knowledgeable and spent time previously doing tours, pre-COVID. You could tell how much he genuinely cares for the caverns and their preservation. I’m sorry we missed getting his name, but can’t thank him enough for great tidbits not in the brochure.

Please follow the directions you’re given and contribute to that preservation!

This was such a fun tour. I visited with family and it was a new experience for me. I enjoyed quite a few things, one was learning how everything came to be in the caverns. Thanks!

We did the Violet City Lantern Tour. It was a three hour walk/hike, we stopped intermittently to stand around or sit while listening to the tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. I was struck by how ancient the place was. We saw several artifacts.

I would recommend shoes with good traction for this tour. The dirt path starts to have a lot of inclines and it is possible to slip. The cave also stays cool, I think some people in shorts were uncomfortable with the temperature.

Wow! This is only about 10 minutes from home but we had never been. We had a visit from friend from NC and this is something the had her interest so we loaded up the adults and two oldest Grandkids and away we went to Inner Space. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and formations in the cavern. The guide was very knowledgeable about the cave and made the trip through informative and a learning experience and all this right under I 35! I would do it again

Mark was our guide and he was great. Really good with the kids and adults also. We loved it and the kids that were along had never been in a cave so they were excited to see it all.

Out visit to Mammoth Cave only lasted a couple of hours, and we had read the great reviews for Crystal Onyx Cave so we added it to the day and we were so glad we did! The tour was much smaller than Mammoth and Kim, our guide, was so passionate and knowledgeable about caves. Every turn was something new and the whole thing had entirely different formations then Mammoth. I would HIGHLY recommend doing both, but if you only have time for one I recommend Crystal Onyx over Mammoth.

The trail was not difficult to walk. The views are stunning. This trail was more crowded than some of the other trails we walked.

A must see! Waterfall was BEAUTIFUL! Easy to hike, some slippery areas, so bring good walking shoes with tread!

One of the most popular things to do at Ginnie Springs is to float down the river. You can bring your own tube, raft, paddleboard… basically anything that floats will work. We have seen all sorts of flotation devices going down this river, there is no size limit! Last trip we saw a guy floating on a blown up air mattress. Not recommended, but it seemed to get the job done!

There is also a tube rental station connected to the check-in area. Here you can rent single or tandem tubes. Near the tube rentals is an air filling station for free if you brought your own float. We recommend renting or filling up here right after you check in. Then load everything back in your car, and drive right to the top of the tube run entrance to park!

Ginnie is also a great place for scuba diving and snorkeling since the water is so clear. There are underwater caverns and caves to explore in the springs. You have to register in the front office for any and all kinds of scuba diving.
