The place opened up at 11:00 am and it quickly became apparent we were out of our league here. They let us in without paying admission (so nice) and by the time we saw race #9 run, most of the reserved boxes had emptied out, so we were able to get a fantastic view for the final race. The betting box people were super nice and helpful and even though we blindly picked a horse to bet on (we lost), it was still an amazing and fun experience. The real draw was just people watching. Wow- so this is how the top bred of KY live?! Gentlemen dressed in their finest, ladies in grand dresses and hats, prep school 20-somethings that were clearly trust fund babies. - RobbieWilsall, MT23 contributionsOur room had amazing views and was spacious, comfortable and clean. Easy check in and friendly accommodating staff. It was a hike to the Versailles tower from check-in as they hadn’t finished the direct walkway yet but taxis and transportation were close to the bottom of the elevators. Pools were great as were the variety of restaurants and food. - S4136XSdavidbTexas466 contributionsThis small hotel/casino definitely gave us the "Old Vegas" vibe. Beer garden was very nice, good beers on tap. Had a fun players card. Had one $5 Blackjack table which is impossible to find in Vegas anymore. It was packed, but had fun. Staff was helpful and friendly. Had a great prime rib at the Village Pub. Wasn't crowded except at Blackjack table. Just a block and a half off the Strip, but the blocks in Vegas are very long. Unless late at night, walking is more efficient than ride share or taxi. While on the slot floor, VIP staff Christian and Debbie checked on me to see if I needed anything while on my complimentary 3 day visit. It was such a good feeling to have someone take time to great you and make you feel comfortable. I was celebrating 35 years with my company and wanted some R n R. Other staff were also kind and I must say it was a spectacular time had. Kudos to Cherokee Harrah's. We go at least twice a year, The Beau is the best hotel casino in Biloxi great staff a lovely casino host as well. We won a jackpot of over $ 11,000. - Michael AWinnabow, NC136 contributionsWifey and I spent a few hours at the Horseshoe this past Friday morning. The slots were not very loose but we had a good time and felt safe in this location. As out of towners, locals had advised us to catch an Uber or Taxi due to the high crime level near the stadium. Thus, we took an Uber and were dropped off just outside of the entrance. There was a Dunkin’ Donuts located in the casino and the coffee and snacks were reasonably priced. - PAULA D1 contributionThe hotel room was clean and comfortable but no coffee pot and when we reached out to the front desk for it and water refill, it was promised but never received .
The casino was good for a bit we managed to play without losing too much for two days,as usual we didn’t hit the big one🥴
There were not many good food options but the casino next door had more.
For a (free) trip it was fun and enjoyable.

Definitely one of the smarter casinos with lots going on.
