St Mary's island, what can I say a must for nature lovers an array of sea birds and home to over 60 grey seals, the light house needs some TLC but as I understand that is happening later this year, all on all an amazing way to spend a few hours of your day

Visited this venue to watch a great AC/DC tribute band called Live Wire, this wasn’t my first visit to the playhouse and not our first time watching Live Wire either both didn’t disappoint. One negative point is the siting of the toilets near the bar and there being too few to cope during the intermission but that’s a common problem at large events. Easy entry to the event great door staff and the bar was well staffed queues did form but moved quickly. I’ve found there isn’t really a bad seat in the auditorium and always a great atmosphere. Thanks to the Playhouse & Live Wire for great night

I've wanted to come here ever since seeing it derelict so many years ago and hearing Mark Knopfler singing so wistfully about it, so we went to the champagne bar for a birthday treat. While it was certainly not something we could do on a regular basis, it was not overpriced for a champagne bar. The interior was very nicely done and the view out across the bay was lovely. This would have been a five star review if they hadn't forgotten the order for a sandwich and had to be reminded. We will be back for certain if theres another significant birthday to be celecrated

A very pretty, well looked after beach with lots to do in the surrounding area.

Ample parking at various spots around town, we managed to find a space at Park Road Car Park, which is free of charge (always a bonus).

    An absolute pleasure to visit!

Another lovely exhibition being shown by Wild & Free - Inspirational Ink by Anne Nicholson. Well worth a visit.
Always new items to see here - lots of present ideas / good value. Plus big card selection.

The Treehouse continues to be a great place for little people. The staff are friendly and it is always clean and tidy. There is a small cafe where you can buy food and drink. Parties are well catered for.

Great walk along the front. Couldn't believe how clean the area was, even the public toilets are well looked after. Well worth a visit.

A great new venue in the North East that offers shows (theatre, comedy) and food. A nice relaxed pub vibe and great decor, really friendly staff.

The station is very handily placed in town and offers a good service to Newcastle for a day trip out.

The station itself is very clean, and gives some interesting information to read about how Whitley Bay got its name while you wait for the next train.

We recently visited here for the first time with our young child. We used the pool. Found the changing rooms clean, large and perfectly fitted for our needs. We didn't get much direction from reception however on which way to go, this was as i say our first time to the centre. The pool itself had a fun baby/toddler area with a pirate ship complete with slides, water features and other activities. The main pool had a wave machine which was great fun. This leisure centre fills a gap in the market for real "fun" and family friendly swimming pools because it is difficult to find pools that aren't just a rectangle with lanes these days. The big slides weren't on but as it was a midday morning this was to be expected. Good experience overall, will return but maybe infrequently as the price fee is a little steep when you compare to some other places.

Been going here twice a month for ages now, love it and can't recommend it enough! All of the therapists are amazing and have a knack for knowing exactly what you need (shout out to Parida for just being extra incredible and helping me with all the tension/stiffness that comes from a stressful desk job!). Aside from being wonderful for relaxation and just generally unwinding, I've really seen a lot of benefits with mobility / reduced pain and tightness in my hips etc, so it's a win win. Love all the little touches as well, like at the end you can relax afterwards with a little camomile tea and it just helps you stay in that bubbled before you head back into the world.
