The guided tour of the Minster, by a very knowledgeable guide. I learnt so much more from him about the building and history of the Minster. He pointed out all those things that are missed when walking around by oneself.

A lovely place with car parking available. We sat and had a picnic before going shopping. Plenty of litter bins. We strolled through the grass and buttercups on a sunny day so was delightful. We saw the cattle grazing. Plenty of space for dogs running about.

Fantastic day out. Outstanding food and service in the restaurant. Brilliant access to the course and rings.
Afternoon tea is a bargain at £8.96 per person.

Whereas many town markets seem to be shrinking and disappearing in lots of places throughout the U.K., it’s great to see that this traditional market in Beverley seems to be doing very well. Situated mainly in the aptly named Saturday Market, there were lots of stalls selling a wide range of goods, and a few other stalls were situated in Wednesday Market - even though it was a Saturday!

On a bright February morning the Market Place was busy with lots of shoppers, and the atmosphere was very good.

This was a lovely find in Beverley. With 2 children under 5 there were activities in the museum and art gallery to keep them entertained and engaged. Items to encorage them to explore, toys to play with, colouring, books to read, displays to create, dressing up boxes and puppets all relevant to the displays. The viewing tower was good too. Totally free, clean toilets and a cafe. Would thoroughly recommend a visit

Been in here quite a few times. I don’t always purchase....I already have a lot of ‘stuff’ and a very small house...but I find this centre has some interesting stuff. Prices are ok and there’s the bonus of a good cafe. Don’t forget to go upstairs!

Visited Beverley to go to a performance given by Mark Radcliffe at this lovely theatre. Mark Radcliffe is a wonderful performer who we have seen many times before so were quite happy to travel over a hundred miles just to see him.

Had not been there before and was amazed to see it. In a previous incarnation it had been a chapel and has been lovingly restored and converted to this super theatre.

Not only is it an excellent performing space but it also has a great cafe and bar, has good seating and excellent sound.

We enjoyed the performance so much that we book for another afternoon concert a few days later.

Can't praise the staff enough, they were very friendly and helpful and the only real drawback is the waiting area before the audience are let into the auditorium. The weather was not good on one of the days we visited and before the auditorium was opened there was hardly any room to stand.

Apart from this it is a perfect venue and we will not hesitate to visit it again if we are in the area.

Wandering around Beverley, we came across this area near the North Bar. Whilst at the entrance a visit was recommended by a local Council employee emptying the litter bins. It is a comparatively quiet walled green area with some shade and plenty of places to sit and relax. At the far end there are a number of old gravestones and tombs, some of which are unfortunately in very poor condition. In contrast there are some very new small sculptures raising awareness of their subjects. The gardens provide a very restful spot, close to but contrasting with the town activities

This Gate is a reminder of the time that Beverley was one of the larger towns in the country with its wealth from corn and wool. Its an imposing gate and well worth a look if you're near it.

We started at the Ings Rd parking area, and walked about 1.5 miles towards Market Weighton and back, and then walked to the start of the trail at the Beverley end. Really nice walk, and good walking surface even if it's wet.

Visited this as a part of the walk around Beverley. The old magistrates court is well preserved and and gives the visitor another interesting place to see in Beverley.

We did not know of the existence of this nature reserve and only learnt of it by chance when ‘Googling’ walks in Beverley!
There is a little parking in the lane. The Parks are a nature reserve which were once part of Old Hall Farm smallholding. There is a circular parkland trail.

On the other side of the road is the Millennium Orchard which was planted in partnership with the Women’s Institute in 2000. There is a small car parking area.

We were lucky enough to see a young deer as we approached the orchard but unfortunately not quick enough to photograph it!
Again there is a circular walk around the orchard which is full of apple and pear trees. There are picnic tables, wood carvings and information boards. There are also bee hives. It is a lush and green area, particularly after the recent rain. We will definitely return on a sunnier day. It was quite wet underfoot.
