This Earl's Palace is right by St Magnus Cathedral and is a rather lovely ruin with good interpretation boards but above all preserved well enough to envision how people lived there.
We were lucky enough to visit this lovely ruin on a very sunny day when the shadows and sunlight were wonderful amongst the ruined walls, towers and archways.
