Crammed full of fascinating stories of local people and their accomplishments, artic explorers, African adventurers, poets, war heroes, naval history, Neolithic history, Victorian natural history exhibit.
Great collection describing Orkney life, especially the maritime connections of Stromness, but what was most wonderful to me was the mix of classic Victorian natural history cases with contemporary displays.

Interesting books and photgraphs of the history of the ships and events of Scapa Flow can have you there for some time.
There is quite a tresure trove of photos from WW2. Well worth a visit.

Corrigall Farm is a really interesting place to visit with lots of artefacts on display which would have been used in every day life on such a farm.
