- d4rklyAberdeen, United Kingdom74 contributionsPlenty of parking and an immaculate upmarket âcrazy golfâ course. Not your typical concrete âgreenâ but beautiful multiple grades of artificial grass providing distinction between green and rough.
Sam at the kiosk was incredibly polite and helpful: An absolute credit to the venue. Thank you.Written May 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. When we turned up early they came up to us while we in the car and handed us the forms to fill out while we wait. We were told which horse we had and their breed.
We went during the week and were the only ones on our hack so had a private hack for the price of a group one.
They let us come say hi to the horses before we jump on, they had all hats and boots available for those who do not have their own.
The man we had helping us was great, he helped my partner so much as he had never ridden before and even had him on a lead rope and did check ins occasionally to see if he was confident to go off the load rope which was nice to see as some people might not want to be on the lead rope the whole time. He even would stop a few times to take photos for us on our phones.
We had great weather and the man helping was very chatty and keeping my partner relaxed when he was nervous, itâs nice to have someone from the equestrian community being kind and not judgemental.
I would definitely recommend coming to this stables especially for a hack.Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are loos there, and a kiosk for ice creams but no cafe. Course is lovely clean and picturesque. Our 10year old even managed a hole in one on quite a tricky hole. Would thoroughly recommend to pass a few hrs.Written August 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michael T1 contributionFantastic morning sail and lunch at anchor aboard Sun Odyssey yacht Prospero. We were looked after extremely well , my 93 year old father having a great time helming the yacht for at least an hour grinning his head off all the way ! Thoroughly recommend this for a uplifting experience.Written September 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jane H8 contributionsGreat bikes and wonderful scenery.
The GATE to the start of the Solent Way cycle path towards Key Haven is situated in the back left corner of the Haven yacht club "car park".

When we got there we discovered the castle is shut from 1st Nov for the winter (we should have checked!), luckily weâd taken a picnic so we ate that then wandered back. It was a longer walk than we were expecting took us approximately 2 hours, we werenât racing! Lovely to get back and have a nice sit down, warm welcome and a coffee in The Lighthouse. Well worth the effort, weâll revisit another time to go round the castle when itâs open.Written November 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. ÂŁ19.50 per person turned out to be excellent value for money.
Top deck views were brilliant. The history of the Forest was told on the way via a recording and the hop on/hop off facility was great.
We managed to cram 2 routes in (Green and Blue) and got off at Lyndhurst, Lymington and Brockenhurst (where we started and finished).
All drivers were friendly and helpful.
It's a seasonal tour so we were lucky with our timing.Written September 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Thought Iâd give it a go - they were happy to take my dog too and in fact there was another dog on board too!!
Itâs a short trip down the river and back with an informative and funny guy pointing out places of interest. Nice and relaxing and a nice way to spend half and hour or so.

Friendly welcome from Arnie and a thorough handover by bosun James. This was our second charter with LYC and both times the communications beforehand and afterwards has been superb. We will definitely be back.Written February 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
