Orca Scuba Diving Academy is very friendly and Gary makes everyone feel welcome. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable and approachable, which results in our son finishing every lesson with a big smile on his face. He finds scuba diving to be calming, relaxing and very enjoyable.

Our 11 year old son had a trial scuba diving lesson with Orca Scuba Diving Academy one year ago. He took to it instantly and asked to do the ‘PADI Open Water Diver course’. The course entailed classroom tuition with a theory test, plus weekly diving lessons at their dive centre in Basildon. COVID-19 delayed things a little and this weekend our son was finally able to complete the open water dives at a site in Wraysbury, near to Heathrow Airport. He was the youngest child but we felt very confident knowing the ratio was 3 instructors and 2 children. Thanks to Rhonda, Dan, Paul and Joe.

    Here’s to the next course.

Went for a Discover Scuba Diving session with Aaron and Marc always felt safe and in control. Marc did an excellent job running through all the various safety checks rules and underwater signs needed able to teach whilst keeping me engaged.

The tank is 6m deep, heated and large enough to swim around freely with observation windows for friends and family highly recommended.

My wife and I visited cursed yesterday ( 30th ) on the 7pm slot. It was our first time here, we hadn't heard of it before,I saw the event advertised on the M25 . We wasn't sure what to expect tbh , but we really enjoyed it. It was very well organised . The staff were polite, professional and very helpful. Its probably pretty pointless describing the whole experience step by step as it'll probably be different next year , but what I will say is a lot of effort has gone into this set up and I think there are some real shallow people on here who have ripped this experience to pieces . The mazes were really well designed. Considering the entry fee pays for the equipment, rent, wages etc think it's a good return and we really enjoyed it. We were only there for an hour and flew round, however it did look very busy on the way out.

Visited on Thursday 29th July 2021 Basildon Golf Course, Kingswood. First time here and stunning course conditions. A buggy helped but lovely round and look forward to coming back to this high handicap friendly course. The sign directing you to the course is so faded on the main road we missed the turning initially. Once at the venue it is unclear if the adjacent leisure centre car park can be used by golfers as there isn't a clear demarcation and there are warnings on the leisure centre side regarding parking if you are not a user. The clubhouse is primarily a venue for events rather than a Golf club it appears, and the "pro" shop is simply a booth. Putting green is excellent but the Driving range is quite poor. No water on the course and very little rough but trees/sand and undulation are the challenges. Stunning greens which are a credit to the greenskeeper. Reasonable green fees and an excellent online booking system.

The main course has some interesting and challenging holes which I have played on several occasions. It is let down now by tatty greens that appear to get minimal attention from the ground staff. As a consequence visitors tend not to repair pitch marks.
