It's well worth a visit - 2 hours at most. Park in the NT visitor centre, and gently walk through a pleasant village, hedgerows to the waters edge and nature reserve.
We enjoyed our walk around the Nature Reserve and particularly the visit to the bird hide which was made all the more engaging by the presence of the knowledgeable ranger.
