What travelers are saying
- AlexPOxford_UKOxford, UK144 contributionsOne of the best organised NTs that we visited. Parking, staff and facilities were great. The volunteers in the Hall very knowledgeable and always keen to answer. Do not miss the butler! The Café and the shop equally well-organised with good quality products and courteous volunteers and staff. The ice-cream served at the Ice Cream Parlour is always not to be missed! The gardens well maintained and a walk in them is highly recommended. Overall Dunham Massey is a NT worth visiting again and again.Written March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ciara D15 contributionsCame here recently on a very wet Saturday afternoon and managed to grab a table in one of the outside covered areas.
Being able to browse and order food via the app is very handy and saves q’ing. Service was very quick also and the food we ate from all vendors was quality.
There isn’t as many vendors as other similar food markets, however the atmosphere and quality of food available here proves ‘quality over quantity’ !Written August 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They're very involved in the community + run quite a few art/creativity workshops (which I haven't had a chance to attend yet). Definitely worth a visit if you're exploring Altrincham.Written September 14, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gary N1 contributionThis is what you can expect from Planet Ice skating rink in Altrincham, based on my visit with my children earlier this month (Dec 2023). The overall impression is that the rink and the building are run down in need of refurbishment. Especially in the winter months, management does not appear to cap the numbers skating that diminishes the experience. Staff are often quite young and inexperienced, although polite in the main, with one exception a heavy set young man who can be verbally abusive. The quality of the skate hire is particularly poor, with ice skates that are hard to wear, and poorly maintained (all sizes). Therefore, my advice is to avoid this rink unless you have your own skates, better to go in spring and summer when you get longer for your money and better value for your money, and don't rely on management to listen to much there's a general lack of interest in the views of people who raise anything with them.Written December 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Simca1301Manchester, UK702 contributionsNice beer, the inside reminded me of school dining hall, had to queue for the toilets. Overpriced food, (IMO).
I then walked 200 yards to a proper pub with a good atmosphere and a lot cheaper and same quality beer.
Others may like it, but it's not for me.Written October 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The staff were so friendly, the tractor ride from the car park was so much fun, as was the maze! The kids had such a fun day out. Reasonably priced pumpkins too!Written October 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- allertonladNorthallerton, UK1,356 contributionsThe Stamford Quarter is a very pleasant shopping area in the centre of Altrincham. A good range of stores, including a very decent branch of Debenhams. Over 600 reasonably priced onsite parking spaces, it's an easy to navigate area in which to spend some time.Written August 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The owner Andras was a great host and really made the experience. Would love to try the other rooms at some point! - RikkiWritten September 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
