What travelers are saying
- HornsOTSBiggleswade179 contributionsHaving visited North Wales multiple times, I'd heard a lot of positives and negatives about Llandudno, from the amazing scenery to the overcrowded feeling. As my partner were travelling here during February, I believe we alleviated the latter negative, as the Great Orme was reasonably quiet. Near to the site was a lodge that served food & drink, as well as a man-made skiing area and a toboggan-style activity for kids.
After briefly walking up the Great Orme, all I can say is that the views are spectacular. Blue sea for miles in one direction and a picture-perfect view of Llandudno.
I can definitely recommend making your way up here during the slightly warmer/less windy months but for February it was surprisingly nice!Written March 13, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Followin day even better.Written February 19, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- The Wellbeing GamerCannock, UK990 contributionsI had no idea on the history of the area. It's unbelievable.
Then to walk around the old mines is a real treat. The children loved it and it was truly eye opening. It's such a unique experience. If you're going up the orme then this is a must whilst there.Written October 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As part of this I hope it stays traditional. Very pleased to find Aber Falls have a kiosk for gin replenishing!!!!! Dog friendly, loos with honesty box, usual end of pier amusements and refreshments. All in all rather lovely, there’s not many of these piers left now so visit and enjoy what’s on offer to help it thriveWritten February 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shirley M3 contributionsOne of my favourite places to visit. A real sandy beach for the children to play on. Lovely views of the hills and the estuary. During the summer months it is really busy with folk having fun on the beach. Although March is 'spring' in Wales, we went of a very chilly but sunny day. Still lots of folk around, families walking on the beach, dog walkers and older folk enjoying the sea air. There is a very nice nice Café at the end of the pier selling hot and cold food.Written March 13, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Craig MNorthampton, UK195 contributionsWhat a fabulous place. Tucked out of the way between Craig Y Don and Llandudno. This is our second visit and it was even better than our first. We had a lovely young lady, her name may be Katrina? She showed us round and told us anything we needed to know. Very knowledgeable and friendly. It made my wife's birthday thank you so much. We will be back in June. Also thanks to another lady who's name we didn't get who showed us one of the bigger owls. Again very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you both. A must do if you're in Llandudno.Written March 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ludwik D373 contributionsThis is very similar to Southport's Lord street. The well maintained glass canopies outside the shops reminded me of it. Just no antique shops. Where Lord street has several.
This street is just behind the promenade and has all the shops because the promenade itself has none.
Very classy and better than most seaside resorts.Written October 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
