- Hev H72 contributionsGreat place to visit and very dog friendly. We were a family of 3 generations and all ages enjoyed it. The information is very informative and the bones and artifacts are fascinating. The dog could go in every part including down the mines. It is worth a visit and it is an attraction for all ages.Written May 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pat GLondon, UK55 contributionsHotel was right on the sea front ideal for walking, the pier and buses to the Orme which runs from Easter time. Hotel was clean, staff were very helpful and friendly, but clearly in short supply and overworked.
However, our double room was rather cramped just room for one bedside table and it was rather difficult to get around the bed at the other side due to lack of space.
Meals were very good but often just warm, and soup watery due to staff shortage.
Ballroom entertainment was good and games room very comfortable. We would return again as the trips out on offer were good value.Written March 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Authentic radio announcements and period music playing throughout the visit which added to the authentic atmosphere. Loved the Anderson air raid shelter which yo could sit in and listen to the bombs falling overhead, very thought provoking.
Every town should have a museum like this

- tinkle_24Northampton, UK1,620 contributionsand great views of Morfa beach at Conwy. More picturesque of the two beaches and long stretch of sand which makes for hoo£ walking. You can also walk on a higher path among sand dunes.Written October 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrsKatieLManchester, UK51 contributionsVisited today with my husband and our two kids aged 7 and 12. We arrived early (I’m glad we walked as the car park was jammed and pretty dicey) and the wait for the toboggan was 45 mins which was bearable in such lovely weather. As we left around lunchtime the queue was over 2 hours.
The kids & hubby really enjoyed the toboggan and at £10 for two goes it wasn’t too expensive. The golf was a fun add on too. Overall we had a fun visit and in lovely surroundings, I’d recommend it.Written April 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Chris was super helpful in arranging everything and he couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly.
He went above and beyond to put on a great show for a stag do group and everyone enjoyed it.
He also put on a great comedian (Aaron Wood) for us who settled in after a few jokes and he clearly was used to playing to a larger crowd than a group of 14 friends but he managed the performance well. The drinks and snacks selection were great and it was a perfect venue for a stag group. Overall it was amazing value for money for the amount of entertainment that was show and I couldn't recommend it enough.
He puts on regular parlour magic shows and also private hire events the pizza selection for food was also tasty.Written May 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - liz55Rossendale, UK73 contributionsCalled in as thanks Methodist church had a spire and beautiful stonework. It is a beautiful, modern looking church but is in fact quite old. Very clean and beautiful stain glass windows. Our only upset was we couldn’t leave a donation as we had no cash ( it’s getting less to use these days) and cards not used.Written September 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cablecar647 contributionsWe did the marine drive last year and were keen to drive around again as it was so beautiful. We started at the top of the orme, having visited there for the afternoon, and drove down from the summit and along. It was stunning.
Two cars decided to drive the wrong way back in the one way section by the café half way around, which was a bit frustrating as it's one way!!! But you have to blame the drivers there for turning around after missing the turning for the café! Highly recommend a drive around the orme along the marine drive. Toilets by the church were clean.Written April 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
