Had “Super” as our guide and was brilliant - friendly & knowledgeable This was the highlight to our trip to Norway such amazing scenery You are given outfit to wear and the off to the boats Highly recommend the tour
Amazing tour with Eric on May 2. We were blessed with amazing weather--like fairy tale weather, and the beauty of the nature around us was unforgettable.

... take a little boat but you will still need to walk 30 minutes The glacier is fantastic, don t forget to take warm clothes cause depending on weather it could be a bit chilly Strongly recommand this nature jewelry
The weather was kind to us so luckily the full tour was available to the glacier which included a small boat across the lake, a hike across some slightly up and down footing (stones) and then as close as is safe t...

A spectacular display of nature at its best - majestic mountains, numerous waterfalls, lush forests speckled with an occasional small town & port on pristine waters.
Took the day tour from Bergen, the flam railway down to Gudvangen, sensational...boat ride on the fjord was awe-inspiring, beautiful scenery all around, waterfalls, reflecting waters, colorful houses, etc.

A mere 20 minute walk from the port you’ll walk over the waterfall’s lower river before seeing a sign and turning right up a steep path, this then changes into steps and then steep natural paths which takes 30 min...
Amazing views, myriad of colours in sky, waterfall and landscape makes you awestruck..
#1 of 1 Nature & Parks in Myrdal
These waterfalls display natures wonder and power up close and personal...the Flam Railway train stop and beautiful red dancer on the rocks overlooking these falls was fabulous.
I think there are other ways to reach and see it, probably, but we were on the (also famous) Flam Railway, and the ride between Flam and Myrdal includes a five minute stop at the waterfall, so you can get out and...
#1 of 2 Nature & Parks in Loen
It exceeded our expectations with it’s narrow winding road that was always along the fjord, the old Loen townsite & historic memorial, a great lunch, and yes a up close visit to the Glacier.
There were loads of orchids and other beautiful flowers among the small birch trees, very magical with lots of waterfalls and side streams gushing down from the valley sides.

The climb is easy to start with, and then gets progressively more difficult, but if you can manage it to the top, the views of the Fjord, and the Waterfall beside you are stunning.
Was very steep at times so might be a bit tricky for someone who struggles to walk but amazing views at the top definitely worth it!

... trails are, level of difficulty and all are "colour coded" Gentle trails that wind slowly upward for commanding views over the fjord and township,to trails and paths that lead up to the snowline, choice is yours.
We had a few hours to devote to hiking so we picked up a trail map from the Tourist Information site and set off (walk Laerargata up to the school, the trailhead is right there).

Cant find the right words to discribe the norwigan nature this glacier is so beautiful with water falls and a lake mountain peaks covered with snow.
We stayed at nearby Fjærland Fjordstue Hotell, which was an excellent point from which to take in the awe-inspiring beauty of this region.

This truly is a beautiful waterfall, one of many in Norway & I really enjoyed watching the dancing lady & was pleased that the train stopped for us to take a look.
... pass Rjoandefossen and if you are even luckier you will hear some supernatural music accompanying a ballerina dancing on one of the rock ledges as Huldra, a lady in red of the forest, from Norwegian mythology.
Molden Hafslo
#1 of 2 Nature & Parks in Hafslo
There's a bathroom there and a sign with hike information, but the hike starts at the other end of the parking lot, a large obvious path that goes upwards from the start.
But depending on the winter there could be some snow on the trail.
Rallarvegen Aurland Municipality

It took us 80 minutes to cover the distance and it was an amazingly wonderful experience - nerve racking at times. the scenery was amazing, and we were riding at 8:15 AM so few people were on the track.
Prior to visiting Flam, I saw a lot of recommendations for the bike ride from Myrdal to Flam and knew it was something I wanted to do.

That can be rather long to the average hiker (4-7 hours up) and about (3-6 down) But as you go through forest, little streams, many stone steps, past a beautiful river, through a couple sheep and up all the way to...
Insane hike, amazing views
Raudmelen Balestrand
#2 of 7 Nature & Parks in Balestrand
We came down a different path through woods with lots of tree roots over the path and were able to go by some old farm building and see sheep and lambs:)
Alpine flowers in bloom, sheep grazing in the trail, and sweeping views of the fjord.
Jostedalsbreen National Park Western Norway 11.4 mi away
#70 of 391 Nature & Parks in Western Norway
The terrain changes from meadows to rugged rocks, mountains, small lakes, streams, and of the course the massive glaciers in their light, almost sparkling blue.
We drove to the park which was honestly the best part - with AMAZING scenery and so many waterfalls on the way it was well worth the windy road and rainy weather.

Easy and enjoyable hike with the beautiful scenery of Vettisfossen at the end of it.

Our most memorable hike from this part of Norway was to track along the river on a rainy gloomy June day and visit these stunning watefalls.
Walking the woods and finally reaching the waterfall after picnics en route was breathtaking - yet peaceful - a must do.

we were fortunate enough to stay just a few mins away from this, the 'lowest' glacier in Europe (we're told)......very beautiful site and easily accessible via road/path that brings you right up next to it!
The road is a good gravel road, the main path from the parking lot to the glacier was flooded at my latest visit, so a jungle hike through a swampy thicket was been necessary, but I was well worth the soaked shoes.

In addition, an hour’s rental of a canoe or rowboat is included in the price of admission (75 kr) —-> paddling or rowing up the small local fjord to the base of a glacier is a scenic highlight.
When our kayak tour was cancelled we were able to rent canoes for 70 kroner an hour and make our own paddling adventure.

Nice places to stop an enjoy the view.

This is a place you must include in your road trip if you are driving from Bergen to see the famous Trollstigen hair pin road along route 63.
Skiing is really nice there, some parts are steeper, others less so.
