The boarding process was easy and the ship was easy to locate. The captain was so kind and came around to each one of us to welcome us and ask us where we were from. Cruise was beautiful. The highlight of our time in Bergen. On the way back from the Fjord, the captain even invited us up to sit with him and ask questions about the ship. Wonderful experience

Beautiful must do day tour, packed with lots of sights such as Fjords (we didn’t see much it was a totally foggy day but somehow it didn’t matter as it was very mystical and beautiful) toward the end of the cruise the skies opened and the view was beautiful, Flåms Railway was excellent too with a surprise toward the end. Highly recommended!

Typically, at this time of the year Bergen is wet with low clouds. Even so, this fjord trip was spectacular with raging waterfalls and impressive scenery. The photos might have been better in sunshine but the mist and rain made the fjords more mysterious and the weather added atmosphere to the glistening trees and the grey mountains soaring into the clouds.

I’ve been in Bergen for two days and until I had been on the tour with Janine, it was only then that I realised I knew absolutely nothing about this wonderful city!

Janine brought every nook and cranny to life, the history, political landscape, from past to present, peppered with the little things Google could never tell you, and made the tour simply amazing because of it.

Janine has such a lovely persona too, I didn’t feel ‘guided’ at all, it was more like being out with a mate who knows the city like the back of her hand and enjoys sharing her knowledge and stories with everyone 😊

    Thank you,

We had an awesome day with our guide Thomas! He was super friendly and informative about the area. The views were incredible, both on the bus ride as well as on the boat tour through the fjords. Unfortunately, towards the end, snow and fog obscured the view at the Stegastein viewpoint, but it was still amazing to be up there!

The walking tour was fun and informative.
I learned a little of Bergen’s history and had a chuckle while doing so.
The app was super easy to use. I loved that I could go at my own pace. Definitely recommend.

Staff were lovely, boat was comfortable and duration was good but Fjords on this route were not as dramatic as I’d hoped.

My wife and I recently took the "Queen of the Fjords Private Guided Tour," and it was one of the most memorable experiences we've ever had. From start to finish, everything about this tour was thoughtfully curated, making us feel immersed in Norway's breathtaking beauty and rich history.

Our guide was fantastic – knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the region, providing fascinating insights into each location we visited. He knew all the best spots for photos and even arranged unique experiences, like a stop to try Norwegian mulled wine, "Glogg," prepared from his home, which was a lovely and personal touch.

The itinerary took us through some of the most scenic landscapes in Norway. We visited stunning lakes, iconic waterfalls like the "Bride's Veil," and charming historical sites. Each spot was more beautiful than the last, with plenty of time to soak in the views, take photos, and truly enjoy the moment.

We even had the rare chance to spot wild swans on a lake, which felt like a scene straight out of a fairytale! The tour's pace was perfect – never rushed, yet packed with sights and experiences. Driving across the fjords was mesmerizing, and the photo stops were well-chosen, allowing us to capture the essence of Norway’s natural wonders.

This tour was everything we hoped for and more. Whether you're a nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or just looking to experience Norway's majestic landscapes, the Queen of the Fjords Tour is an absolute must. We left with memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommended!

We were originally booked by a different operator on a large boat out of the main Bergen harbor, but they had a fire on board and canceled us the evening before. I went to Tripadviser when the hotel couldn't help us book anything, and went with the full private excursion. I received a call later directly from Bjorn saying that the full day wasn't possible because the lunch arrangements couldn't be managed, but we would be able to have the half-day excursion and would be refunded the difference. As mentioned in other reviews, the pickup and 1 hour travel worked well, the drop off with the walk to the train was fine, but the train back to Bergen was delayed by an hour due to mechanical issues, obviously not an expected occurrence. Warning - no available bathroom facilities at the train station!

The tour itself was the experience we wanted, beautiful views and tons of photos taken by Bjorn of us. As mentioned elsewhere, you should be aware that Bjorn is truly a guide, not just a captain. I will remember many of the stories told on this trip, fortunately my wife and I are not easily offended and we shared many laughs.

The overall review is that if you want an adventure and many stories to tell, the Zodiac is the way to go. We were lucky to be able to go given the last-minute booking, but the efforts made on our behalf were appreciated.

Wonderful insight into Bergen. Despite the wet & windy conditions, we really enjoyed the walking tour. We learnt so many new and interesting facts about this city, from a historic, cultural and contemporary viewpoint. Our guide Martin was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. He also gave us some great recommendations for restaurants, and a printed guide for lots of extra activities during our stay in Bergen. Due to the changeable weather make sure you have waterproof rain gear and/or umbrella. We would highly recommend this tour.

We were 6 people in a small coach, very comfortable ride. Views were fantastic, and our guide Thomas gave us time to take pictures at the scenic spots. He managed our time well, so that we made it to the ferry crossings in time and didn't have to wait a long time for the next ferry. Unfortunately, the hotel that offers waffles and coffee was booked for a private wedding so we missed out on that.
