The exterior of this building is quite ugly and looks brutalist in nature - Soviet type design. Entry is free, you just have to go through the security scan to enter. Upon entry, you can walk around in the main hall which has interesting murals and is a huge, airy space. It's also where they award the Nobel Peace Prize. Worth taking some pics.

This is one of the attractions located along Johans Gate. There are 2 big Tiger statues infront of it and a big park as well. I guess this is where they make the LAWS for Norway.

During my visit, there are some exhibits going on in front of this attraction/ park. Took some pictures and proceeded with my walk along the Johans Gate.

I liked the statue in front of the hall. Inside there are many restaurants to choose from. We didn't eat here but it was good to see.

Brannvakten is located on Karl Johans gate next to Oslo Cathedral. It is a red-brick neo-romantic style building completed in 1856 in connection with the Bazaars.

After the big city fire in 1858, better fire service was set up. The city's water supply was expanded and the fire corps had a 24-hour lookout point from the cathedral tower.

Originally a storage house built in the 1920's but now used as offices, so it's not really an attraction you can enter. But if you like historical buildings and taking pictures, you may find it worthwhile a visit. It is located just across the Opera and you'll get a good picture of it from the Opera's roof top.

Along the pier you'll also find SALT, probably Oslo's best place to find nice and price-worthy street food.
