The views are as expected nice without being anything extraordinary. Overpriced for its value though, pretty much as everything else here

The walk around the city was so informative and interesting. Maria’s passion and enthusiasm for her city was very endearing. Her English was outstanding & her knowledge of the British monarchy & the similarities to the Norwegian monarchy were so lovely to share.
This walking tour was a must for all visitors to gain a love for this beautiful city.

The tour was very fun. Jon & Martin were our guides. We learned a lot about the fjord islands and they also adapted the tour to the individual needs of the participants. My highlight was the jump in the warm fjord during heavy rain with our guide Jon!

The context provided by our tour guide added to our experience in spite of a little rain.
Christian “ Chris” the history nerd gave us plenty to think about that enhanced our understanding of the park, museums, architecture and history of Oslo, Norway.

Lovely tour, comfortable boat, pleasant people. You might want to opt for the written tour. The verbal tour is via website and we had difficulty downloading it.

We arrived 20 minutes early and the boat was nearly full. It is open seating, so prepare to share small benches with strangers. Drinks are weak and expensive for what you get.

Overall, we had a good time. Thousands of shrimp available with no limit to your consumption. You must remove the heads and peel them yourself, but that can add to the experience if you’re into that kind of thing.

Oslo fjord is not one of the dramatic fjords you’d expect to see in Norway. It’s more like a harbor you sail around for three hours while you look at foothills in the distance. The harbor is clean and beautiful, however, with friendly boaters and charming little boat houses.

Boat staff is friendly and the music enlivens the ride a bit. You can even request the songs you’d like to hear. Our boat ended up having an ABBA singalong, which was Scandinavian af. Overall a fun time. 👍

Oslo's city-sightseeing, hop-on, hop-off bus offers 14 stops. The buses have audio-guides in eight languages. One person on the bus stated that theirs did not work but I was unable to determine if the problem was the person operating the audio-guide or the mechanics of the system. The buses also offer free Wi-Fi. You can purchase a 24 or 48 hour pass and a cancellation policy can be activated 24 hours before the buyers date of activation.

The 14 stops include stops within the central city and some further out. If you were to ride the entire circuit without getting off it would take about 90 minutes. Waiting times for the next bus can be 5 minutes or 30 minutes. There are 5 buses and you have to change buses to reach all 14 stops. When you change buses the stop for you next bus can be hard to find and often a distance away. The Viking Ship Museum is one of those stops that is further out. There are 3 other museums within a 15 minute walk from the Viking museum including the Kon-Tiki museum. The $46.95 you pay for the bus does not include admission to the Royal Palace, museums or many other venues.

If you only want to see the central city sights you probably will be able to walk or utilize an excellent public transport system. Getting to the more remote stops make the the hop-on and hop-off bus more desirable. In any event you are not going to be able to stop at every location and appreciate all it has to offer in a 24 hour pass. The hop-on and hop-off bus is only offered from May to September 30.

That's a very interesting place to visit, mainly for those who love history, navigation and human accomplishments. Overall, that's a good experience, although some improvements could take place, as the lightening in some areas as well as exhibition organization.

A perfect activity for families with teens who want to have fun and adults who want to learn more about the city. Great tour interspersed with scooting through the city. Recommend. Best if you have a few tries on the Voi city scooters before the tour as it takes a little time to get used to the scooters.

Interesting overview of Oslo. We really enjoyed the insights and humor of the guide. He had in-depth knowledge of the sculptures at Frognerparken, and had clearly spent a lot of time there over the years which made viewing the park very informative.

This is a bus tour with lost time due to multiple pickup sites, and driver/guide allowing extra wait time for passengers who were not on time which resulted in very rushed stops. (Particularly at the ski jump stop).

    Good-to-know note ahead of booking:
A 5-hour tour is available, but option for booking on line through Trip Advisor only gave a 3-hour tour option. Please know you can upgrade on board the bus. We had not planned enough time to do so, but the second part sounded interesting and included a museum stop and more.

All you want to know about Oslo. This was probably the best city tour I have ever had. The guide was very knowledgeable and nice - she answered all my questions and made the experience unique and tailored to my interests. I particularly enjoyed walking with her through the central Oslo and feeling like a local. But all the tour was great and I highly recommend it.

It is located just opposite City Hall in the centre of town. We did not know much about Viking age before, so it turned out to be very informative and interesting. They had used all modern technology like VR, 3D movie and interactive screens to show Viking era which was amazing.
    Worth visiting...

Two ships sailed at the same time, ours, the Christiana, and Helen, from deck 4, in front of the City Hall. Ours was peaceful, with soft recorded music and family and friends talking, taking photographs. The other was a party boat, with loud live music, people cheering, yelling (even “mooning” at us). Both were running in motors and not sails, that were nowhere to be seen.

The ship was fully booked and we had to wait standing until the captain found us a place, on a table that had been added, wich we shared with a family of three.

It was a smooth tour around the fjord. When the buffet was ready, we had to go downstairs, through a steep, narrow stair, to grab bread, butter, lettuce and whole cold shrimps; after removing the head and shell, they were rather small (cocktail size or U-30).

The bar had wine, champage, beer, soft drinks, tea, coffee and water for sell. It was getting cloudy and the captain did his best to place us behind a clear spot, but around 9:00 he couldn’t avoid the rain anymore and we all rush down to the windowless ship cask. A Russian or Polish group started playing guitar and singing softly, very nicely.

After about 30 minutes the rain stopped and we all emerged, using the ship’s blankets to sit on the wer benches, in time to see the return to harbor.
