We went to this Cable car ride and it was really a smooth ride. There is a hike trail also to reach to the summit.
The view from the top of the summit and nearby trails were gorgeous! It was like a mental Yoga!
There is a small cafe at the top of the summit but there were no Vegetarian options so we were unable to use same.
The area was really clean and beautiful with the fall colors.

The view was amazing with the fall colors. It is definitely a worthy trip to go and enjoy nature at its purest form.

Some of the realities of the past ways of killing animals is difficult to see but thankfully not practiced anymore. Small museum - watch your head in spots. I was here on a cruise excursion and local guide was difficult to hear. I asked the girl at the desk (who immediately "got her back up") for a guide in English that I saw others carrying. She became very unfriendly and said when you cannot have one when you are with a guide. Really? All the signage was in Norwegian and couldn't hear my guide! She could have cared less. Only unfriendly person I have met in Norway so won't forget her and her attitude.

The tourist information is great - people are super friendly and helpful!

The only reason i gave only 4 out of 5 is the coffeeshop - that’s a rip off and the quality is mediocre (at least if you have tried the Scandinavian bakerys before)

My son and I visited this museum in June on our own. The museum has various rooms, each dedicated to a different theme. These themes included geology, wildlife, the Northern Lights, Sami culture, life at a boarding school, religious artifacts, and local history of WWII. We went primarily for the Sami culture While other exhibits had English captioning, the Sami culture captioning was in what I assume was Norwegian and Sami. A tour group came through and we eavesdropped in on a vary interesting explanation of the exhibit. The museum did offer a tour but it was in the afternoon and we were there in the morning. You can get a discount on tickets if you purchase both this museum and the Polaris one. There is a bus in town that will drop you off at the museum that goes through the town center if you don’t have a vehicle and prefer not to walk.

We went to Polaria on a rainy day to ensure that we use the time well. Our daughter liked seal feeding session and Aquarium but the highlight was the interactive Arctic ice AR gallery.
It is a small Aquarium but the Seals were the major plus point for this place.
It is a must visit place for a rainy day and/or for families with small kids.

We were there on a tour with The Green Adventure, really beautiful place and nice beach. We will never forget this arctic picnic in this village.

Very lucky to have visited on a sunny day. About 1 hour drive + ferry ride from Tromso. It offers epic views on a clear day, and much less crowded than the city. Snowmobiling tour or skiing tour with guide strongly recommended, as the best scenic areas are off-road. It is also worth to spend more days in the area for exploring on foot. Do note that weather can change rapidly or deteriorates quickly on any day, so always check the weather and avalanche forecast before heading out.
