Located near the U6 Währingerstrasse metro station. Outside is under restructure, interiors are classic. Program is available online as well as ticketing. I went to see "The jungle book", funny but oriented to families. Paid 11 € for being at the highest lodge, good view of the stage but no view of the orchestra.

i agree with others that this place is a bit of tourist trap but the music was still great and if you are not really into classical music and just want a bit of taste, this one is for you!

For many years we have always promised ourselves to attend a Struass or Mozart concert whilst in Vienna and to find a concert that had both at the same time was just the ticket. We purchased our tickets on line via Trip Advisor and you have to visit the building to exchange your voucher into ticket which can be done on the night of the event. The concert hall building was excellent and once inside you were directed to your seats and we were in the second row from the stage so the atmosphere was even more electric. The small orchestra performed outstanding pieces from both composers and we were also treated to several songs by a lady opera singer and also ballet which featured both a man and young woman who definitely knew how to entertain us. The experience overall was brilliant and could have sat there for hours and hours, but unfortunately the concert only last two hours with a 15 minute interval for refreshments which can be taken on the balcony of the building. What a great evening and a memorable one as it was our Wedding Anniversary and what a place to spend it. Definitely something not to be missed whilst in Vienna.

We went in the last 30 years almost twice a year to Vienna, and never heard before about this lovely Kammeroper. This is basically for the young talents of the Theater an der Wien. We had a very good Candide, with very good voices. And the theater itself is nice.

We enjoyed the concert in the orangery, the setting was beautiful and the orchestra were great. We had dinner at the palace restaurant beforehand but not part of the set package so that we could eat outside and from the a la carte menu.
The concert was slightly spoilt by other members of the audience taking photos on their phones and some even filming parts of the concert throughout. There was an announcement at the start of the concert telling people not to do this but some people still did. One girl on our row had her phone in the air filming for a good few minutes. She also took photos with the flash on. It annoyed the girl next to her so much that she felt she had to move. I imagine it also to be very annoying for the people behind. The staff did nothing about this. I suggest making the announcement clearer at the beginning of the concert that filming/photography/phones are prohibited and also having staff watching for this and telling people who persist to stop.

This institution makes Viennese music enjoyable and allows for a very pleasant cultural experience in the capital of Austria. The easiest way to spend an evening with the Vienna Supreme Concerts is to order the tickets on line. Several delightful performers musicians, singers and dancers will very likely make it a very special evening for you. We enjoyed the performance very much.
