    Review of: Lainzer Tiergarten
    Walk with my family
    Today we went to the Lainzer Tiergarten and this time it wasn’t that difficult to find a place to park the car. There are many streets and a parking place near the Lainzer Tor.
    My two brothers, my parents, and I decided to walk to the Hermesvilla. The ways weren’t dirty or soggy. Of course, there were a lot of other visitors, but that was no problem because everyone keeps a distance. In the end, we visited the Jägerhütte next to the entry. It was an amazing and thrilling excursion and we saw dears and wild boars.

    Review of: Orangery at Schoenbrunn Palace
    Christmas Day meal & concert
    We booked the Christmas meal & concert package as visitors to Vienna from the UK. We attended at the Orangery as stated to collect the tickets which was fine & we were told the bus would collect us outside at 1850hrs. This time came & went with no instruction or member of staff to direct us. We stood around with many other people, everyone looking at each other unsure. I spotted a bus parked further down the road & on speaking to the driver (who had very little English) found out that it was his bus we were all meant to be on. A member of staff eventually joined us. We were then driven the few minutes to the Kaiserpavillon for our meal and had to walk from the bus in the pouring rain a couple of minutes to get there (there was a lack of lighting!). Kaiserpavillon is a lovely looking building inside but there was a real lack of atmosphere! No music (or so low you couldn't hear it!). The meal was nice enough but small in portion. The staff were efficient & friendly though. We were then taken by bus back to the Orangery for the concert. The orchestra & singers were very good but if you were at the back of the hall it was quite quiet. The different lighting effects were lovely though. All in all a bit disappointing!

    Review of: Kurpark Oberlaa
    Tranquil morning walk
    On a weekday morning, it was peaceful and quiet (the only people there were other mums with kids). The park area is huge, with hills, ponds, statues (not to mention the Oberlaa pools, with separate entry - we did not have enough time to visit them). But you could spend an entire day at the park, on a picnic. There are a number of playgrounds for bigger and smaller kids (including some water channels with locks, which my son loved), there's a small cafe with ice cream, there are giant swings, a climbing wall, skateboard area...you name it.

    Review of: The Danube Wetlands
    Wonderful 6 Days on "Rousse" on Danube
    Just being back from Passau I can say that I had a wonderful time on the ship MS "Rousse" (Bulgarian Ship) going on the Danube from Passau (Germany) to Vienna (Austria), Budapest (Hungaria), Bratislava (Slovakia) and Choister Melk in Wachau (Austria) and back to Passau. The "Rousse" was very clean, the friendly crew (Bulgarian) did everything to make us a nice time. In the afternoons we had guided excursions to see the places os interest. We enjoyed the sunny weather on deck. The announcements were very clear and informative so I exactly knew when what was where to do.
    Food was good and we had too much to eat. It was my first trip on a river like this.
    I enjoed my time a lot!
