I arrived and it was really busy with groups as we headed towards the entrance. There was only 3 people serving tickets when I arrived at peak morning time which was disappointing but the lovely lady serving tickets made us feel very welcome. We used the Vienna Pass and paid extra for the grand tour and was given a timeslot an hour a way.

The rooms are really nice even though I am not a huge fan of seeing state room after state room. You can’t take a large bag inside the tour but there is a bag drop area available.

The Landtrain going around the grounds is pleasant and the gardens and grounds were beautiful. Stunning views surround the palace and there were many photo opportunities throughout. There are 3 mazes to choose from which although small, the main maze was quite tricky and has a great viewing platform. The finger mazes were a great addition for guests with reduced accessibility and for a sensory experience. For visitors with walking difficulties there are some trip hazards so extra care is required. There are plenty of benches to sit on and rest.

You could easily spend the whole day here.

Intimate and beautiful setting, variety of composers, singers and musicians. Of our 9 concerts this holiday, this was my favourite!

Located on the historic Heldenplatz ,this is were Adolf Hitler made his infamous speech in 1938,Austrian Anschluss to Nazi Germany,is Neue Burg.
Neue Burg is now a series of museums and looks amazing ,constructed over the 19th & 20th century ,the Neue Burg ( New Palace ) is in my opinion one of the standout buildings here ,it's very photogenic and most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Vienna and easy to locate on Heldenplatz.
