Guide was great. Ride was long but so worth the visit. A once in a lifetime experience. The alps were breathtaking. Plenty of time to enjoy the experience with several stops along the way. Highly recommend this tour.

The most breathtaking scenery and a very pretty village. It can be extremely busy and I wouldn't recommend it with small children. Toilet facilities are limited and you pay €1 to gain access to toilets

The departure point was the "Tourist Info" in Albertinaplatz. The tour operator sent us a message the day before giving detail description of how to go there. So it started nicely.

The transport was a modern micro-bus, with comfortable clean seats and wide windows. The tour guide did a good job, she kept giving us details of the places the bus was passing through, with Mozart's classical musics in between.

The coffee-breaks were nicely designed within the tour, at two branches of "Landzeit". The first one had a nice terrace with a great mountain view. They even had Gluten free snacks, so it was a plus for me.

We first visited the Admont Abbey, with free tickets from the tour guide (I did not expect to have free tickets to be honest). However, I felt that 1 and a half hour is very less for a thorough-tour of the place, and it was a lunch break too. So the time of stay should have been at least 2 hours and a half for a proper visit.

Next, we started towards Hallstatt. The audio guide by the tour guide continued. The Scenic beauty of the journey path is not possible to describe in words. We arrived Hallstatt past 2.15-ish. We were given around 2 hours to visit HallStatt. Since me and my friend could not have the lunch earlier, it took us for an hour to sit and eat fresh lunch by the side of the lake. However, it was a nice afternoon with grilled fish on our plate and there was relaxing nice weather.

Again, I would say the time given to us to return to the microbus was very little for an actual Hallstatt tour. It would need minimum 4 hours to have a nice tour even a relaxing stroll around.

From Hallstatt we were taken to another place where we were given only 10 mins for taking photos. This was again another small amount of time, because grasping the beauty of the place by own eyes and taking photos cannot be done in the same time.

I was a bit sad at the end when because of my health condition I stopped to drink some water (it was half-a-minute late than the starting time of the bus) and the tour guide behaved a bit rude and said, "We don't have time, You can drink water in the bus". I mean, you can hurry up the tourists in any time but when they are drinking water? It was very rude, and I decided that at the next coffee break I will be the first one returning to the bus, and guess what?

I was the first, but this time the tour guide did not yell at other tourists who were late (even more than a couple minutes) .

Note to be taken that me and my friend were the "only" South Asian tourists in the trip. Although sub-consciously, the tour guide's attitude towards us might be influenced by our ethnicity, who knows?

At the end, the returning road to Vienna was far too long. By searching in Google map real time, I saw that the bus could easily take an another route which could save 2 hours of travel time (but the road needed "toll"). I am not an expert of routes but I felt that the journey time was way more than the actual trip time.

At the end, I would say fare-wise the trip was fair. I would easily give the trip a 5 star but because of the Tour Guide's rude yelling at me being half a minute late for drinking water, and the choice of longer returning route to Vienna, I would give this tour a 4-star.

Well conducted tour. Reasonably priced for what is offered.
Our guide Sophia kept the tour interesting and lively with her stories from Austrian history.
She gave useful hints on what to do at the halts.

Funicular ride and Skywalk is included in the tour. Salt mine tour is not included but it takes 90 min and not sure if one should spend so much time in the 3 hour halt you get at Halstatt. A visit in the village is nice also.
House of Charnel (skulls) is a must visit . A small entry fee is to be paid. It is next to the Catholic Church.
Halstatt offers many photo opportunities if the weather is good.
The tour also takes you to Castle of Orr and another halt on the way back where you can take nice pics.
They also take 2 halts at restaurants for driver breaks . The halt on the way back was announced for 50 min but was cut down to 30 min at the request of the group.
The driver was professional and polite. Drove the bus well. However we were sitting exactly behind him and could see him accessing social media on the phone while driving. I thought that was quite risky.

The bus left on time, the tour guide was very informative and polite! The trip in Halstatt was well planned and the boat tour was a wonderful way to see the city in the most spectacular way possible!

The bus was comfortable and the time off on the city by ourselves was a wonderful way to visit this small city in our own pace.

It's a great way to visit Halstatt in a day trip with lots of background historical information on the city!!

We booked the private tour as a group of four. We were meet by the engaging and friendly Patrick. He showed us some beautiful locations en route to Hallstatt. He was informative and interesting. His English was excellent. The tour surpassed our expectations and Compliments to Patrick for taking the day to the next level. Only advise is check what time the skywalk closes on your planned visitation day as we got side tracked in and around the beautiful town of Hallstatt. Highly recommend booking this trip.

Super trip, excellent guide. Hallstatt in pandemic is empty and super-comfortable =) Anna knows alot about the topic and is eager to tell (although for us it was mainly about sightseeing)

    Amazing day.
When i booked this tour i thought it was going to be just another tour like many others but Thomas and Carlos made it our best day in Salzburg. Already at the hotel we were very impressed buy our transport. a very clean and new Mercedes Van. Both Thomas (driver) and our guide Carlos were very friendly and informative. We learned about the history of Salzburg on the way to the lake district. the views are amazing all the way.
Hallstatt was great and we had time for lunch at one of the local restaurants.
on the way back we came a different route so we got to see other things.
The professionalism of Carlos and Thomas driving skills made our trip unforgettable.
I recommend highly recommend. It was so much fun.

Patrick and Manford were amazing. We've done many of the cattle bus type tours that are much less expensive but can not go everywhere and leave you at the whim of a brunch of strangers. We chose this private tour to get that personal attention and experience this area at our pace and focus on what interested us. We could not have been more pleased with the entire day's experience. Patrick and our driver Manford knew their stuff and accommodated all of our whims. It is by far the best tour we've ever been on and when we return to this area of Europe, we will definately seek them out for one of their other itineraries. If you are looking for a perfect day of touring this region, you will not be disappointed.
