- Bernard WDallas, TX1,947 contributionsThe small museum at Ledra Street Crossing Point closed in October, 2024. There is a monument to Greek Cypriots in front of the crossing. The crossing itself is hardly noticeable at the end of Ledra Street.Written November 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sfuhereuk836 contributionsWe loved it here. It had a great atmosphere and there are lots of little artisan places selling various things. The main attraction though is the pleasure of wandering around a beautiful and historic place, which used to be an inn and stables. According to my guidebook, these used to be common across the island but most have been demolished on the Greek side. Most shops accept euros as well as Turkish lira.Written December 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ryan HTampa, FL1,618 contributionsThis attraction is worth it simply because of the views.
We paid 5.00 EURO to enter—2 persons.
There are sweeping views with explanations of what you see in each direction.

It is historic and an important religious institution for its adherents. One notes that there has always been a mixed population on this island. The mosque is in excellent condition.Written October 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Thomas VOakland, CA18,915 contributionsThis modern shopping mall is located along the highway, a strategic location to capture all the shoppers who are arriving by car and who will park in the big garage for free. Lots of familiar shops here.Written October 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Passenger226965215281 contributionUnfortunately, I am writing this a bit late, but better late than never. Last year in December-January, I found myself on a 3 weeks solo adventure in Cyprus. I was very lucky to be able to stop by in this shop. I had some time to kill and saw some nice reviews, at first I was nervous because I was the first one when the store opened and completely alone, but I was greeted with smiles and a big welcome. Andreas was so kind and actually gave me a wonderful informative tour of all his beautiful motorcycles. I loved hearing the history and his story of how the shop started and where it is now. He even offered to take photos of me on his motorbikes to show my friends. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone visiting Nicosia. Thank you Andreas for a wonderful experience.Written December 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rick WSevenoaks, UK2,349 contributionsPanagia tis Asinou Stunning small church – a must see!
Located high up in the Troodos mountains, and a tortuous 3 hour drive from Paphos is this remarkable and beautiful small church. To be honest, without Google Maps on my phone I never would have found it. Even then there were moments when I didn't think I was going to! The church is completely isolated, and when I visited in September the nearby cafe was closed and so there was nothing except an old man keeping an eye on things and adequate parking space around. I have read accounts about how you need to be properly dressed with long trousers and covered shoulders and how photographs are not allowed. In my experience, turning up in shorts and a vest I was able to take photographs both with and without flash and the elderly gentleman who was the curator of the church did not seem to mind. I think he appreciated my 5 Euro contribution! The church has spectacular frescoes. They show Bible scenes from the New Testament of Christ being baptised, healing, washing the disciples feet, being crucified, ascending into heaven, and many other stories from the Bible. There are, of course, also Saints galore, a large ‘dormition of the Virgin Mary and a beautiful Christ Pantocrator (judgement) figure at the West End of the church. There you will also see on the right four small frescoes of a monk and nun being punished for their sins. If you can work out what they are you are more intelligent than me! Of all the painted churches in the Troodos this has to be the best and if you can only see one it is the one I would recommend.Written September 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA18,915 contributionsA pleasant market where you. can buy all sorts of things. We were most interested in the food displays. Open air, quite a few people around, even though it was still early in the morning.
