This place was much more interesting to my wife since she is the one who would pick out a dining pattern or a special piece to add to our collection. There is a rich history story between the Boch and Villeroy families that started in Luxembourg. The particular style and ability to transfer printing of patterns onto earthenware became known as the Luxembourg style.
The two families merged competing businesses in 1836 and the rest is history.
This store is a great place to shop for ceramics, pottery, porcelain, etc. Most of the manufacturing is now done in Germany so this is more of an outlet store.

We were told to walk thru the tunnel in order to use the elevator that leads from the Grund (lower town) to the upper town. Some unique and cool art from various local artists!

The latest addition to shopping centers anchored by a giant Auchan grocery store. As it is new it feels less worn down than the other shopping malls in Luxembourg. You will find many of the typical shopping center shops, but also a few other ones that you don't have "everywhere else". Avoid weekends, because that is when everyone goes, during the weeks it is more pleasant.

It is a small Art Gallery actually showing painting of Nina and Ivo Petrov. Really a pleasure for the Eyes. This gallery is specialized in showing painting from artists coming from Everywhere ( China, Bulgaria, France etc..)
If you are for several weeks in Luxembourg, you can also take some drawing lessons with an Art Professor every Thursday Friday or Saturday. The price is really nice, 35€ for 90 minutes (1h30). Relaxing place if you like to draw.

Plenty of happy people enjoying themselves - although not crowded when we visited
on a Tuesday night in August.
There are some large establishments, so they can cater for lots of visitors.
The area is well presented and clean, its a revamped and modernised industrial area which has made the best of the old buildings, the skyline is dominated by the large chimney.
The location offers a variety of bars and restaurants, its a good place to go.

Want to have a wine&cheese evening / lunch / apéritif, this is the place.
Maître Fromager Pierre will always have some unknown gem to taste or learn.
He knows where his produce comes from, how it is made, originates from, when at its best and takes care of the cheeses in his shop. Just ask for the story!
Fun evenings also organised so do not hesitate to sign up to the newsletter on the website.

The concept is really unique and original in Luxembourg- a all-in with Italian supermarket, a wine cellar, cheeses and an open restaurant in the center. For the food, we have hired Vinissimo for the opening of our office as a private event . There was quantity and quality. Choices of wine, cheese, bread...every detail was perfect. I will re-use their service again and will go to test the restaurant in-situ :)

I was here with my scout group last year, they were super helpful and sweet, and I fell in love with the 'blind date' bookshelf! I can't wait to go back this year with my friends, and pick up some new reads. I hope they still have the shelf when I'm there.

Interesting shop in the pedestrian main street of Luxembourg city, close to the Palais Grand-Ducal.

    Excellent place for "TRUFFLE-addicts".
    You'll find a large choice of truffle-specials.
The 80g sauce "noire à la truffe d'été" is delicious and the price is correct (10 Euros). Tasty creamy truffle-pasta can easily be prepared with it (crème fraîche/sour cream, truffle sauce and freshly grinded pepper mixed with the pasta cooked al dente). Recipes also available on their website.

SERVICE from the Belgian lady/gérante? was extremly friendly and welcoming. Free! tasting was offered. As a truffle fan I was surprised to hear from "truffle-beer"?! Well.... find out for yourself ;)

If you like truffles, or even the taste of it (sauces, salt&truffles...) , don't miss this small exclusive shop. Large choice for every budget!
