There is a big IceWear store in town for a direct comparison: the Katla Wool Studio blankets are softer because the studio has gone to the extra step of combing the wool (you can see the machine working right there in the "factory" area). The blankets are half size, good for curl up or wrap around your shoulders, very good price, and interesting designs to choose from. The operation is on the hillside as one goes up to visit the iconic church. Well worth a stop in: everyone spoke English and were very friendly. It’s very local and every product is designed or handmade by two Icelandic artists who are from the area and you can see they get inspiration from the nature and culture in the area.
