What travelers are saying
- Andrew WCambridge, Canada9 contributionsA beautiful well kept landmark church. The pipe organ is exquisite and the acoustics are amazing. You can see the spire from everywhere in the city and it helps you find your way.Written October 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mak73New Providence, NJ136 contributionsThe architecture of the building is wonderful. The hexagon shaped glass reflects the light in unique ways. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the buffet brunch on the weekend. So much variety of food. Extremely tasty.Written October 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Placeholder ONorthampton, UK34 contributionsThis is a treasure trove of Icelandic history, the highlights really were all of the artefacts from the time the first vikings settled Iceland right through the Middle Ages. If you’re not into history you might not enjoy the bull of this museum but there are halls dedicated to art and contemporary Icelandic history as well as going further back in time. Really was a fascinating few hours and if you like you can even play a game of chess part way around!Written September 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - מוטי לKarmiel, Israel613 contributionslike lombard street of san francisco or nievsky prospect of st. petersburg this is the ultimate street of reykjavic, not long but colorful and very friendly atmosphere.Written October 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - מוטי לKarmiel, Israel613 contributionsthis exhibition is the most important attraction which included in Reykjavic city card. the exhibition explains very well the development of iceland.Written September 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jonathan D7 contributionsExquisite. I was in Reykjavik for four days and enjoyed Sundhollin every evening. I would recommend a weekly pass, if staying in Iceland for more than a few days. Instead of going to a bar or restaurant for Happy Hour, spend it with the locals at one of Sundhollin's terrific pools or hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms, and cold plunge pools. Particularly after a long day trip hiking, Sundhollin is an exquisitely therapeutic way to spend an evening! (and a great way of abating jet lag too) .Written September 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Daphne RBrighton, Canada40 contributionsVery good experience and movie. The VR glasses in the egg chairs was interesting. Liked all the information. Only reason not rated 5 is we never got any of the pictures we took at beginning that were to be sent to our e-mails.Written August 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Daniel ASantana de Parnaiba, SP102 contributionsthe most unforgettable trip in the world, you can understand why so many films that take place on other planets are filmed in Iceland, wonderful landscapes, breathtaking roads with excellent paving, majestic waterfalls, geysers, sheep, lots of sheep, it has to be on your bucket listWritten October 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Catherine PWrightstown34 contributionsa fun way to spend our last day and eat up time before heading to the airport. not as pretty as the pictures. i love the different pool options, but it is a little run down and sand everywhere. the people are rude. don't expect to take any pictures here, you cannot take your phone in the pool.Written August 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Placeholder ONorthampton, UK34 contributionsThis was a really quirky museum! About half the space is dedicated to zoological specimens of animal genitals with the rest being the phallus across human history, art and in popular culture. There was also a small space dedicated to mythological penises which was hilarious. It took about 1h15m to walk around the whole museum and we were reading a lot. There is also a cafe with a wide selection of penis related literature and art books to flick through if you’re so inclined. All in all, a bit of fun and a chance to learn.Written September 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard WPenn Valley, CA861 contributionsThis is an open air museum which offers a glimpse of life in Iceland from years ago. Many of the buildings are authentic and have been moved to this location. Some are authentic to this location. The people of Iceland are descendants of the Vikings. They were used to hardships and using whatever was available to survive in this new land. Some of the very basic ways people lived were still in use into the mid-1900's.

With the tide out you can cross to the lighthouse and walk around the island.Written March 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John SHorsham, UK122 contributionsThis small museum was the home of Einer Jonsson and houses a large collection of his works, particularly his fascinating sculptures. There is also a sculpture garden.
Well worth a visit, it is located very close to Hallgrimskirkja church but I suspect often overlooked because the facade facing the church is rather forbidding. I went soon after it opened on a cold and rainy day and had the place to myself; but due to the poor weather I didn't get to see the sculpture garden.Written July 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
