Walked there from the cathedral in reykjavic, entry cost really good for the variety of different experiences. We finished it off with a couple of drinks in the rotating restaurant and found it a wonderful experience, we absolutely loved the Ice Cave. All staff were really kind and helpful. Recommend a visit here

A really architecturally cool glass building, built in a honeycomb pattern.
It sits proudly overlooking Reykjavik Harbour.

It's free to enter and wander around to appreciate the design and take in the harbour views. There is a cafe and restaurant too to enjoy.

A fascinating look at Iceland’s history and its treasures! It’s not enormous, but filled with so many extraordinary things - Viking artefacts, bones, the famous bronze Thor, incredible knitted mittens which are hundreds of years old, jewellery, fine crafts in whalebone, weaving and silver. A really great visit.
There is a café, a super gift shop, bathrooms and cloakrooms. Well worth a visit.

Ísland is amazing. I love her harsh climate. But Reykjavik is a very beautiful city. Low architekturę and beautiful streets.

A fascinating exhibition of life in years gone by. For my liking there is too much reading in each of the exhibits, but it is very cleverly done.

Very good experience and movie. The VR glasses in the egg chairs was interesting. Liked all the information. Only reason not rated 5 is we never got any of the pictures we took at beginning that were to be sent to our e-mails.

Had a free day in Reykjavik so I decided to check out this public pool and I was so glad it did.

Cost to enter was about $9 and change and that was a bargain. I bought my own bathing suit and towel so i am not sure if they rent out. I did see bathing suits for sale for both men and women.

The access was super easy and the fitting rooms were clean and spacious. They give you a key to lock up so you do not have to bring your own lock.

The outside pools consisted of a large warm pool, a smaller hydro pool, a cold plunge pool and an outdoor heated pool for swimming.

There was a steam room, sauna and indoor pool but I didn't use them.

I enjoyed all the outdoor pools which were not crowded and everyone was quiet and speaking in low tones.

The atmosphere was very relaxing and it was so enjoyable to be in a pool that residents use on the daily.

I really had a great time here and highly recommend it if you want to experience what the locals use at a much lower price than Sky Lagoon or Blue Lagoon.

This pool was also located in Downtown Reykjavik and was within walking distance from my hotel. A great location.

With blue lagoon trip cancelled and other locations booked up/no car. This was a fantastic substitution, the outside pool was very quiet and there was a number of hot thermal water pools beside the main pool all of which were a different temperature (also a 4-8degrees pool or ice pool) as well as a steam room. It was -7 outside however it was great to relax and chill out after lots of walking,

The location is fairly accessible to from the centre and although the facility has probably been there for a number of years it is still a greet facility.

    Highly recommended if visiting Iceland
    Very pleasant staff.
Do what the locals do would be my tip.

the most unforgettable trip in the world, you can understand why so many films that take place on other planets are filmed in Iceland, wonderful landscapes, breathtaking roads with excellent paving, majestic waterfalls, geysers, sheep, lots of sheep, it has to be on your bucket list

We had heard people joke about this place and thought we would check it out. It really does what it says on the tin. Part comical part factual but you meander around and check out the various items in display. As a male I felt both blessed and inadequate depending where in the exhibition we were. The cafe is quite fun too if you want to eat things in the shape of a phallus

My expectations were pretty low. This is, after all, essentially a museum about fishing, which sounds about as dull as it can get. But I must admit that I enjoyed my visit. The museum is small - it only takes an hour or so to cover it fairly thoroughly - but its thoughtfully presented and visually interesting. Yes, there are displays about fishing industry processes but there are also plenty of interesting artefacts and some fascinating model ships. We didn't realise the boat outside was also part of the museum until we overheard another visitor enquiring about it just as we were leaving, which was a shame. Perhaps that aspect needs to be advertised a little more prominently.

This isn't going to be the highlight of your trip to Iceland but its definitely worth a short visit.

This small museum was the home of Einer Jonsson and houses a large collection of his works, particularly his fascinating sculptures. There is also a sculpture garden.

Well worth a visit, it is located very close to Hallgrimskirkja church but I suspect often overlooked because the facade facing the church is rather forbidding. I went soon after it opened on a cold and rainy day and had the place to myself; but due to the poor weather I didn't get to see the sculpture garden.

The ticket was reasonable. The front desk staff was friendly & hepful. There was so much to take in, which really got me interested in Viking history. The audio was well-presented and provided additional information.

We bought loads of chocolate bars & dried fish for friends back home. While prices are great compared to other stores, we were surprised that the airport was selling same chocolates at lower prices on a sale. And wine we bought at vinbudin (?) also less because on sale at airport tho Vinbudin has great prices too. We are still glad we bought early & packed but just an observation.
