Highly recommend. Spent afternoon at Perlan, a volcano show, a planetarium and ice cave, also there is an observation deck giving a 360 degree view of Reykjavik. Very informative with added bit of fun. Great for young and old alike.

A refreshing change from all the other sights in Reykjavik, this building is absolutely stunning. We were disappointed that the restaurant at the top of the building was closed as we would have liked to have stopped there.

Spend the money and take the elevator to the top for the best views of Reykjavik. And the unique architecture of the church is worth the trip.

Started at the museum on our first day in Iceland (pretty much from the airport). Started with history - a beginning to understanding Iceland and its inhabitants. Provided an appreciation for the discovery and development of the country.

ICYMI, the aurora, that is, you need to go here. In fact, you need to go here, even if you caught the aurora on your trip. Lots of info and beautiful photographs.

If history is your thing, this is worth a couple of hours on your Reykjavik tour. We learned a lot about the history of Iceland.

This is a pretty neat shopping area and pedestrian (for part of it) walkway. Lots of restaurants and stores whether you are looking for schlocky souvenirs or cold weather gear and clothing.

We were two daughters ages 12 and 14 and my husband and me. It was inexpensive for a family of 4. We spent two hours there. You get bracelets you have to scan to enter and leave. There are handicapped/family/gender neutral changing rooms with a key. There were many pools and hot pots of different temperatures. I wish we could have gone a second time!

Not a family friendly place but if you love punk it is a must see. I absolutely loved it and discovered some great new music

The Reykjavik Maritime Museum is a really fantastic museum, and beautifully laid out. There was a genuinely sense of how deeply intwined both the economy and daily life in Reykjavik has been with fishing and seafaring. The curation of the exhibition is fantastic. There is also free coffee for patrons and lockers to store your warm outerwear. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that a couple of the interactive exhibits didn't seem to be working when we visited but it is absolutely worth a visit!

Our first day, with a hotel only a block away, we started off our Iceland vacation with a trip to the sagas. My 11-year-old especially appreciated the stories with all the gory bits included. :) The audio guide is helpful, and it's not a long tour. You can do this in an hour, easy.

We love shopping at Bonus! There's always some strange food items we don't have in the States, and the staff is always friendly!

Having gone here straight after seeing Humpback whales in all their glory it may have taken a bit of the shine off the exhibits. The obvious thing when entering the hall is the sheer size of the whales, the blue whale being truly awe inspiring.

You get an audio guide telling you about each whale which is useful and there is also an interesting video about noise pollution and its effect on whales.

At around £16.00 per person its about as cheap as it gets in Iceland for something like this and you'll get just over an hours entertainment for that which isn't too bad.

Overall this isn't an essential thing to do but is interesting nonetheless if you have any interest in wildlife.

Combines spray, wind and movement to create a VR experience. Recommend Wild West and Iceland. Nice gift shop. Short walk from downtown, located near the marina.
