We found the shop in the Saturday morning flea market in Reykjavik. Such unique things. We got great pins for the pride parade later that day. Also, we found one of the coolest Christmas ornaments ever, celebrating Icelandic wool and knitting. And the owner was incredibly nice and informative — and was wearing great purple hair. Highly recommend a visit.

I made a quick trip here before boarding a cruise.A small place ,very busy, however they have every kind of sweater ,hat etc imaginable. Prices were very reasonable ,just consider the quality of the merchandise,it is very high end.Love the blanket I got!!!Very much worth a visit!

If you want to know or buy Icelandic music this is the place. Very good collectiion of classical music. The staff is friendly and know a lot about Icelandic music and music in general.
Concerts every friday during the summer. They have good local beer and excellent coffee. Here you meet the locals.

Had a great experience in this wool shop. The owner and designer was there and had all kinds of information on how the wool was sourced and designed and made style recommendations. I wasn’t originally leaning toward a poncho style but she convinced me to try it on and we had style discussions and I loved it. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for high quality Icelandic wool.

For the second time I ordered online.
Again the shipment was very fast!
The prompt personal costumer service and contact is provided online aswell.
The jewellery is so beautiful, special and handicrafted perfectly. Beside all of that I like the fact that everything is eco-friendly!
Aurum is representing the wonders of Icelands nature and spirit.
Its an all-happy shopping experience and I‘m sure to order again :)

Delivery was on time even with going through customs during Covid and a massive blizzard in NY. The sweater is beautiful, true to size and makes me feel good supporting local craftspeople & being all natural. THANK YOU

The JS Watch Company is a great little shop in the heart of Reykjavik. Gilbert is a true gentleman who lives and breathes watches. Gilbert and his son make fabulous and unique time pieces. I am an avid watch collector always on the hunt for unique time pieces and Gilbert nailed it. His watches are creative , fun and one of a kind. After spending a lot of time in the shop, and I mean a lot…….I bought one of his watches. When I got back to the hotel I kept thinking about another one I had seen so the first thing I did when I got up the next day was to go back and purchase another one of his hand crafted beauties. I love them both. Anyone can have a Rolex, only a select few will have a JS Watch.
Thank you Gilbert. You were a pleasure to deal with and I hope our paths meet again.

Found this store by chance, while on my first trip to Iceland. What a place. A true record buyers heaven. Must be tens of thousands of vinyls in here, plus CDs and even DVDs, if memory serves correct. The records span almost every genre you can possibly think of. Nobody will struggle to find the genre of music they like here. Prices are also really good....cheaper than most UK second hand record shops in my opinion. Some real bargains to be had, and plenty of rare gems. I will be back for a longer browse. Friendly staff, free coffee....sofas, relaxed vibe.

I stumbled across this women artist cooperative by accident, but returned to it on purpose several times during our stay in Reykjavik! The range of arts offerings is diverse, from textiles to jewelry to ceramics and more. The work is exquisite. And the women artists who own and run the shop are wonderful hosts. If you are looking for something beautiful and unique to give, or to remember your visit to Iceland, do yourself a favor and skip the "puffin shops" and support these exceptional local artists.

We visited this bookshop on a recommendation and tried the coffee and hot chocolate. We also had a cookie and a carrot cake.

The cookie and cake were both very nice. The drinks were average. The cost was average as well. We would go back and give this place another visit 😊.

The entire experience was a delight. Established in 1901 the Bazar features handcrafted Icelandic wools. Proceeds support children’s charities. The sweet volunteers manning the store were the icing on the cake. Much better than the chaos at the Handknitting Association. They put your beautiful purchases in crafted cloth bags.

I wasn’t looking for a camera shop, but I did have my 35mm film camera on me. We were wandering around looking for food before our flight home as we came across this shop. It is amazing! There are at least a hundred of film cameras hung from the walls alongside beautiful prints. We didn’t buy anything but the lady who was working in the shop was very friendly and let us have a look around anyway.

The perfect find for presents to take home and more than one for me too. A great selection of goodies and the raspberry hot chocolate on a spoon is delicious.

While exploring Reykjavik we found Metal Designs and loved the jewellery. The designs are original, unique and authentic. I bought a beautiful lava rock ring and with a band that represents the skyline of Iceland, mountains volcanoes and glaciers. It would be great if they had an online store so I could buy more pieces.
