There is a decent amount of bus travel to get to the sites, but worth it. Our guide was very informative and walked some of the sites with us to explain things in detail. He was always eager to answer any questions. - JanetS11Southampton, UK29 contributionsGreat trip and the organisers stayed out longer than expected to make sure we saw the whales. There were 4 or 5 whales in one group and probably up to 10 in total.
Everyone was very friendly and our spotter made sure that we were all aware of the whales around us before there were so many we could all see where they were !
Well worth the money.

The merit of my high vote is our exceptional guide. I’d be happy to share with you his name, but unfortunately, we forgot it.
His knowledge was, naturally, huge and he was accomplished as a guide should be. It was his fantastic sense of humor that won us! Other people in the van did not have the same taste, but the two of us were enjoying the tour better than any other tour in many, many years of traveling.
Well-chosen itinerary, amazing sights, excellent guide... We saw the lights after the driver made an extra effort as the trip was about done when he spotted them over the water. We hightailed it to a bridge where the city lights were a little less intense. The Northern Lights were beautiful. My only gripe was that the driver wouldn’t put heat on in the van. Sure, we expect cold in Iceland when standing outside. All the excursions were exceptional- ice caves, glacier hikes, Vok baths, lava caves,whale watching.
We were busy every day and I feel we’ve seen the best of Iceland.
Our bus was comfortable. Gylfi was an excellent driver. If we wanted to try an Icelandic dish he’d tell us the best place to try it!
I can highly recommend this tour. Our group size was small enough to stop at small cafes etc.

She continually made recommendations on where to go to get the best views and on a couple of stops would drop us off and pick us up at another location so we wouldn’t need to walk down and back again. The guide even had time to make a secret stop, and that’s all I’ll say about that.
