We visited the observation deck with 360 degree view of Reykjavik. Worthwhile to see and enjoyed the views.

    Wonderful, exhilarating, fascinating trip.
We rented a car in Reykjavik with another couple and took a nine-dayu Ring Road (clockwise) in June, with a few side trips. Such amazing landscapes - we often said it's more like being on another planet than in another country.
We stayed at great BnB's and farms, plus a few lovely hotels, experienced the Glacier Lagoon, Husavik whale-watching, horesback riding, excellent dining, 24-hour sunlight, lupines galore, thermal baths and warm, helpful people (all of whom spoke perfect English, idioms and all).

We had half a day prior to our flight departure, so we drove around the Reykjanes Peninsula, and this was a great stop! It's an easy introductory geothermal area without a lot of commitment. Parking is nearby, and there is a walkway that is awesome when the wind is blowing the steam over you.

Beautiful structure. Well-thought out and very unique. Did not have time to enjoy a performance here, but I am sure that it would be amazing.

Very unusual, place. I have been to a black sand beach in Hawaii but this is more than black sand. Unusual rock formations offshore, caves and interesting surface of rock face on the beach cliffs.

The crater is colorful and gorgeous. We unfortunately got there right as a downpour started so we only stayed briefly. Others in our group waited out the rain hiking down to the bottom. From what they had to say about it, the walk was worth it. There is a small entry fee and no restrooms. My advice would be to stop at Prastalundur which is only 6km down the road for snacks and a restroom break before the crater.

Well worth a visit - a unique landscape with bubbling, hot water and a sulphurous odour. Great soup in the visitor's centre too

A great place to visit, a very impressive waterfall just a short stroll from the parking area. Try to visit on a sunny morning for the brilliant rainbows created by the spray.

Did not go inside, but the exterior is impressive and perhaps the landmark of Reykjavik The square in front of the church has some interesting statuary..

Worthwhile exhibit. Helped us fill in blanks in knowledge we acquired on tours outside the city. A range of exhibits from a replica of a farmhouse to pictures, antiques, furniture etc. Nice coffee shop and small gift shop on main floor.

We really enjoyed the walk to this waterfall and the fascinating landscape. It is a detour of the Ring Road. This was definitely one of our favorite waterfalls. The sheer volume of flow is amazing.

Had amazing weather and were the only people to walk to the Volcano view point on path B. Fabulous view. Just watch out for the payments in the carpark ... the camera's are hidden!! so make sure you pay!!

Ice cave tour with Local Guide of Vatnajokull was great. Our guide Tinna was brilliant. Going up the glacier was quite an experience. Going inside the caves, even better. These are natural caves as opposed to the man made one in Langjokull.
    Highly recommended.

Local, relaxing and best place to spend time chilling with your friends. I haven't experienced the atmosphere of this kind of swimming pool before, staying in your swimsuit in cold weather and then enter into hot tube, surrounded by mild mist, where you just relax or small talk. You meet there a lot of icelandic locals as well as foriegners, definetely this place has the character and it surprised me in a way, what the swimming pool can be. I really recommend this (personally, cold days are really cool), they have also a sauna and ice tube.
