For anyone who wants to get up close to the old sailing ships, this is a must see. Visitors can see the ship on several levels from the keel up to the main deck. The details of the ship are incredibly well preserved and the museum does an excellent job of telling the ship's story through exhibits around the sides of the ship. It's well worth spending some time here.

Stockholm old town was like going back in time. Lovely old cobbled streets with quaint shops and boutiques. It was the best place to visit in Stockholm.

We have a lovely day out at Skansen. We took our time visiting and spent 5 hours at the park.

There is lots to see, old town, farms, school house, post office, zoo, aquarium, Nordic sea centre and of course the Christmas market in the centre.

Staff in the houses, shops and businesses were in character and told us something about what life was life in the era. Very interesting chatting to the school teacher about life in 1910.

Was market was lovely, a good mixture of food and trinkets stalls.

Reasonable enter price. As most of the day is outside is good to dress well for the weather. Plenty of places to get snacks, meals or drinks.

Rent a bicycle a go on the round trip around Djurgarden. You are almost all the ride near the sea. Make a stop a Café Blockhusporten. Lots to see around this trip.

This museum is very good, it represents the ABBA group very well. Despite the crowd it was a good experience. Beautiful decoration

We had a wonderful guided tour of the main state rooms. Our guide was first class. Unfortunately the group was so big it was often hard to hear her.

It’s worth a visit to do the guided tour of the city hall. The outside is quite ugly, in my opinion but the inside is interesting and in certain rooms beautiful. The tour is 45 mins long and took us through 4-5 rooms/ halls.

Golden room was beautiful, made up of millions of gold mosaic tiles that glitter in the sun light.

The history of the building is explained by an enthusiastic guide.

Best place in Stockholm for lunch. We queued at Lisa Elmqvist for about 10mins and they found us a place to eat at the bar. The shrimp sandwich is highly recommended. Also a nice dark Swedish lager.

I would consider myself an amateur connoisseur of art. But photography has not always piqued my interest however, I LOVED Shepard Fairey's work in the exhibit "Photo Syntheses". I was very impressed. I loved everything about it from the story at the beginning explaining who he is to the organization of the exhibit and definitely the work. It was hard-hitting and gave early 2000s rock music vibes mixed with skater vibes. The exhibit upstairs on sustainability was also very interesting and eye-opening to current issues around the world. It was very emotional. I will say it is a pricey museum.

This was definitely one of our favorite things that we did while in Stockholm. The views from here are just spectacular with many benches and such where you can relax and take in the vantage point. Relatively stroller friendly but can be a little tricky to get to the start of it. Total time needed perhaps 1-1.5 hours.

Soldermalm was great. It's a really nice residential neighborhood in Stockholm with tons of cafes and restaurants and interesting history to learn about. We really enjoyed our 2 .5 hr walking tour of Soldermalm.

I really loved this museum, it was special, and I have seen MANY museums! The gold collection was extraordinary, the year numbers on the floor in the other section tracing the history, was unique and fun. the Viking area was also special. There was room to contemplate and breath. Great job!
