Hiking around the area is really lovely, reading about the old lighthouse, watching the great views is what makes this place really special. There are a lot of barbecue spots which can also be used. Be prepared for windy conditions and dress properly!

Nice city center where you can see Denmark across the water. Nice pedestrian street with lots of cafes and restaurants. Was here in the winter where it was a bit empty but can imagine lots of life in the summer time

We didn't visit the museum but went on a guided tour which was interesting. The inside don't have any furnitures for visualizing but the guide had great knowledge and could answer all questions. Small groups, max 20, can't pre-book. We bought tickets at 11, went for a coffee and came back at 13. A Friday in September it was very few visitors which suited us well.

Amaizing traditional pharmacy! Not much left of these in EU, specially not as well maintained as this one! Is a must see if you like pharmacies!

The Citadel from the 16-17th C is impressive and also very beautiful because of all the water and greenery. There are almost three lines of encircling canals around the central fortress which makes it an excellent spot for a stroll. In one corner it borders to the extensive area of colony houses (small cottages with a bit of land for cultivation but not for living in, the first such area in Sweden).

Classic historic sight to visit. Unfortunately the tomb itself was closed due to walls crumbling. It’s awaiting restoration work so for the time being it is closed which was sad.

In summer they have fair when they have digs and vikings. Visitors can be very close to the digs. We liked it alot. The site is very beautiful and peaceful.
They have lots of potential for the future. Sweden do not promote vikings at all. Danes and norway make lots of money from turist who wanna Learn more about vikings.

Great place to visit in these COVID-19 times. Big grounds, including beautiful flowers, makes this place suitable for a walk around. Cute animals, restaurant wit tables outside and inside. Small gift shop, church, historic and art exhibitions. As long as you don’t have walking problems, this is a great place for the whole family.
