Fun and entertaining event. We did it!
Even though the intro could have been done better. We were sat in a hall with other guests, we couldn’t hear a Word, but everyone was annoyied.
But the rest was fab, and the gamemaster was excellent.

Awesome place! Have done all three rooms and loved them all. Allan has always been super friendly when greeting us, and is always up for a chat. We hope to see some new rooms in the future so we can come back for some more :D

We decided to do a staycation for our kids winter break by doing an escape room binge. This was the third we visited and by far the cheapest. There were lots of rooms with four different scenarios, so lots of options. We did the basement, which was a little to scary for my overimaginative teenage sons. The clue weren't the most interesting - lots of locks. They put "do not touch stickers" are everything utilitarian (e.g. heater) which itself if a clue. We solved it with about 50 seconds to spare.

Having always been a fan of puzzles, I was delighted when my friend brought me to Mystery Makers in Copenhagen for what would be my first experience in an escape room.
Having tried several other rooms since, what really sets Mystery Makers apart from the rest is their keen eye for detail!
When you step into the room, you want to feel as if you are in a completely different time and space, and that is exactly how I felt when I tried it for the first time!

The puzzles are clever and fun, and your host is outside the room - guiding you if you need it.
An Escape Room is all about having fun with a group of friends, and Mystery Makers delivers 100%
They have several rooms, to I can't wait to come back and try another one :)

    Highly recommended!

PS: In these Covid-19 times, I was pleased to see how they have taken all the necessary precautions.

We are very pleased with our visit to Royal Escapes - one of the few escape games in Copenhagen that can be done with only two players. Fun and creative rooms with a very committed and nice game master. Even though we have done quite a lot of rooms before, these rooms were challenging and unique. We can really recommend a visit!

Very good fun; the Monk Room was nicely crafted, and though the puzzles are quite simple the experience still felt rewarding.

My daughter and I love horror movies and the Ring was one of my favorites from way back so I planned for this room on our trip. It turns out to be our 102 room and also one of my favorites so far. Europe has some fantastic rooms compared to the USA and I think it’s because these seem to be lovingly built and lovingly run by great game masters. Our game master was Agata and she was wonderful. Also so fun and wonderful was that there was an in-room actor who also helped us, because though we’ve done a lot of rooms, we’re not that good. The actor also helped us. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the performance. If you are fearful, don’t do this room. Our friend with us, who had never done an Escape Room before, was terrified of the actor though she did really well on the puzzles and helped us think out of the box. If you are in Copenhagen and like horror and scary stuff, do this room. It is absolutely worth it. It follows the ingredients for a great room - story, immersion, game master, interesting but not impossible puzzles.

Taken: It's a very classic escape room with no flashy mechanisms or crazy surprises. Just your logic and a whole lot of locks. If that's what you're into, this is the room for you. Very well-suited for a group of 4 people. Would recommend if you're advanced and like the classic escape rooms. The room is a bit worn but that sort of works with the story.
If you're new to escape rooms, I would recommend their Casino room instead which is easier.

Note on Taken: You get chained together in the beginning of Taken and they chain you pretty tight. If you don't want it too tight, make sure you say it.

Note on Day After: I didn't love their third room "The Day After" which I've written a separate review on.

Great setting, with time to have some coffee and tea in the nicely decorated room that helps you get into the mindset of the game before starting. The game master was very nice and the room was full of interesting puzzles to solve. We really liked the variety of the puzzles and their complexity. As the title says, this is the best escape room I have tried in Copenhagen, so you should definitely give it a try!
