Foodhall has a great variety of food fresh and premade, located over 2 buildings locals and tourists mingle together for something to eat.

Also, you can buy fresh produce if you decide to cook yourself.

And the best for last, many options for a drink or 2, wine, beer, cider and lots more.

It is centrally located and very easily accessible by public transportation. The place offers many choices for the daily shopping needs and international brands as well. It is a type of Shopping mall that both locals and visitors can find things of need and interest.

We had been to another Street Food Market, closer to the touristy center, and this was much better. There are at least 25 food stalls, also various drink stalls. Entry is free and the food variety was pretty impressive. From African to South American, European, etc, there was a choice for everyone.
I ate at the Greek place, being vegan, went for the vegan pita. It was OK - salad with some dressing and a veggie type patty. There is a plant-based place near the Beer Garden, but I was too full at that point. There is plenty of outdoor seating, but we sat inside the Beer Garden Tent to stay a little warmer.

This is one of the museums that is included with admission to the Copenhagen Museum. It's a small contemporary art space with rotating exhibitions in a beautiful old church. That in itself is worth the price of admission. IF you paid... ha!

In this case, it was a predominantly sound-based exhibition. There's a small room on the upper floor that had 360 of sound on a 20-something minute loop that was mesmerizing. The top floor has an interesting space too, though I didn't really "get" the current piece that was there. The first floor had a variety of pieces, one of which was four colored (or lack of light) rooms with sound. I found them uncomfortable, which I am sure was the artists' intention. Imagine walking into a pitch-black room with a droney sound. Imagine walking into one of these dark rooms and finding another person in there and getting the living bowels scared out of you upon seeing another human!

Sorry to the poor fella whom I scared.

This museum can be a hit or miss. It’s a train and bus ride. Expect to see 3-4 major exhibits spread out in a large space museum. Many museums have beautiful grounds and courtyards etc and so, if you are lukewarm with the exhibit, the overall experience can still be enjoyable. With Copenhagen Contemporary (CC) the actual place is nothing great. Think big artsy warehouse.

When we went there in December, we caught the James Turrell exhibits which made the trip worth it. We saw the same exhibit in the US months later and somehow experiencing it in Copenhagen was much better. The US exhibit had loud attendants constantly barking at you to watch your step and limit your movements. At CC they let you feel the experience in silence.

With older kids in tow, the adult “Lego” building area was fun too. They also enjoyed a fun video exhibit of various games children play around the world.

Check to see the specific exhibits first before you book. If not for the Turrell exhibits I would’ve given this a lower bubble rating

Stopped by to see the home of our wedding china. The store is beautiful with all the current patterns. Hand painting exhibitions take place onsite on some days (we missed them). The china is made elsewhere and old patterns out of production are not available but it is great to see where it all starts and the staff was very helpful.

This is now an art gallery which at the moment exhibits a Leonard Cohen display of his music, writing and poetry. Another half of the exhibition is at the Nikolaj Kundsthall which is an old church located at nearby Nikolaj Plads 10.

The best part of Galleri Christoffer Egelund are the people working in it. They have so much knowledge on the exhibited artists and are always willing to have a chat. Definitely recommend attending an exhibition opening when you get a chance.

Marios Orozco is the real deal. Well crafted artist with great diversity of work. We watched him create a painting on his porch before being invited inside. The outside of the building is really all the advertisement you'd ever need. Excellent use of varying colors and palates to create portraits and landscapes alike. Marios and his wife were very accommodating and hospitable. We purchased a painting and while Marios broke down the canvas and prepared it for travel, he shared his intimate knowledge of the town, and history you wouldn't learn from a tour book. Incredibly nice people who get nothing but praise from us. Thanks for a wonderful experience

I have visited Amager Centret a couple of times during the past few years, and it has been under renovation the whole time. Not one of the hyggeliest (cosiest) of malls in town, but it has a few fashionable clothing- and shoeshops for both men and women, a jewellery shop, a bookshop, some small decór shops, one great café and an extremely friendly local pub to name my favourites. The best is the pub with the smiling staff.

Amazing food court. You get all the sweets you could imagine, freshly made, in the middle all vegetables , other side all sea food, meat and cheese. One shop only French stuff, sm shops big crabs, some kitchenware and sharp Japanese knifes. So much too watch, and way more to munch.

I visited this shop on a recent visit to Copenhagen and have been wanting to write a few words about my experience. The owner was very kind and helpful and although I did not ask her age, there is no doubt that she is a fountain of knowledge after a lifetime of working in the Danish antique business.
It is so nice to spend some quality time in a shop surrounded by beautiful old china and other nice things - almost like being in a time bubble.
I hope to get the chance to revisit Copenhagen and this shop.
