I LOVED the glass market! There are a number of stalls where you can grab a quick bite to eat. Right next door, another market offers fruits, flowers and meats for sale. The architecture and vibe are unique. It’s a great place to explore.

A visit to Reffen is a must! We took the children for a Sunday evening out whilst visiting Copenhagen. We tried food from quite a few different vendors. All of our food was of a high quality and very tasty. It was a perfect spot to watch the Cruise ships leave with a drink in hand.
It looks like it must be a very busy spot on Friday and Saturday evenings.

It is centrally located and very easily accessible by public transportation. The place offers many choices for the daily shopping needs and international brands as well. It is a type of Shopping mall that both locals and visitors can find things of need and interest.

The area of Refshaleøen is a worn down industrial area not far from the free town of Christiania in Copenhagen, which is now occupied by young businesses such as media agencies, a catering service, a yacht repair and IT firms.
The CC (Copenhagen Contempory) is located in a vast industrial hall and shows a pristine selection of contemporary art. Currently (12/19 - 01/20) Carsten Höller, Larissa Sansour and Jacob Dahlgren show interesting, partly playful but also disturbing and cynical interventions and videos.
Apart from the artistic quality the facilities in the CC are rather simple and there is a slight transport-problem. If you don't come by bus or bus-boat (latter is highly recommended), you will find only limited parking space to pay for, which is severely controlled and fined if not complying to the regulations. In the evening the time slots between public transport opportunities are quite long. (1 hour from 17:00).
As a pastime there are some restaurants and a craft-brewery with some interesting beers, where you can also eat some snacks (recommended: the fermented fired potatoes for sharing).

This striking building and tower piqued my curiosity in Copenhagen as its tower, er, towers over the area of Copenhagen.

Turned out it is a church converted into an art gallery! I didn't go in but the building itself is a work of art.

I had a great visit. All staff were very friendly and helpful. There are free lockers for your belongings.
There is a good variety of different artwork (some was a bit of an example of how far modern art had become questionable, in my opinion) but good none the less.
There was a couple of the immersive sections with videos that included a lot of swearing and nudity but no warnings for kids so maybe skip the video sections if visiting with family.
Overall I had a great visit and could've spent a full day here. Such good variety and good value for money. Easy to walk to.

This is now an art gallery which at the moment exhibits a Leonard Cohen display of his music, writing and poetry. Another half of the exhibition is at the Nikolaj Kundsthall which is an old church located at nearby Nikolaj Plads 10.

Marios Orozco is the real deal. Well crafted artist with great diversity of work. We watched him create a painting on his porch before being invited inside. The outside of the building is really all the advertisement you'd ever need. Excellent use of varying colors and palates to create portraits and landscapes alike. Marios and his wife were very accommodating and hospitable. We purchased a painting and while Marios broke down the canvas and prepared it for travel, he shared his intimate knowledge of the town, and history you wouldn't learn from a tour book. Incredibly nice people who get nothing but praise from us. Thanks for a wonderful experience

The best part of Galleri Christoffer Egelund are the people working in it. They have so much knowledge on the exhibited artists and are always willing to have a chat. Definitely recommend attending an exhibition opening when you get a chance.

Galleri A. Lang is a colorful oasis in the heart of Copenhagen. The owner is, without a doubt, a true artist and after your visit you will view life from a brighter perspective.

Absolutely perfect! Finally found someone as nerdy as me, bought Boccanera and Fantomas. The owner is super cool and welcoming, extremely knowledgeable about all of the perfumes!

Walking toward the heart of Christianshavn one night we stumbled across this lovely art gallery owned and managed by Dominque Jal and his wife. If you enjoy art and want a unique souvenir of your visit to Copenhagen then go here and purchase one of Dominque's prints. We opted to buy three different works portraying Copenhagen towers: the Rathaus, Frieser's church, and Bors (stock exchange). The intricate detail, beautiful colors and architectural rendition are striking. When taking them to be framed, Dominque's matting was of such high quality that are framer didn't replace them. We selected relatively simple framing to remind us of all the moderen Danish design we saw, but these would partner equally well with a more classical frame. Our prints were vertical in nature, and Dominque has horizontal cityscapes, other seasonal scenes, and beautiful pieces focusing on Copenhagen's many bicycles, all of which would be great souvenirs. Skip the t-shirt and tchocke stores and bring home something truly special that you can enjoy for years. Dominque carefully wrapped our prints for travel so it they were easy to bring home safely.

I have visited Amager Centret a couple of times during the past few years, and it has been under renovation the whole time. Not one of the hyggeliest (cosiest) of malls in town, but it has a few fashionable clothing- and shoeshops for both men and women, a jewellery shop, a bookshop, some small decór shops, one great café and an extremely friendly local pub to name my favourites. The best is the pub with the smiling staff.

Visiting Copenhagen, I went to visit the Beck-Fisher Gallery next to Frederikskirken (Frederik's Church, which I'd recommend you visit as well). Family had told me about this gallery and its slightly different concept.
I was pleasantly surprised and found a wide range of paintings on display in a large gallery space. The gallery assistant was very friendly and knowledgeable about the various artists and their works, as well as the actual concept.
The paintings can be ordered in different sizes to suit your needs. That, and the 30-day money back guarantee, combined with free freight within Denmark (and inexpensive freight to other countries), make for a fresh and reliable way of buying artwork.
Well worth a visit (AND they even offer you a really good COFFEE while you're there!).
