With the recent booking policy, Jazzhouse doesn't really for it's name any more - if you just drop in any random night, you are more likely to be treated to some experimental / avantgarde act than anything fitting in the jazz genre. At least for me, that is a very welcome change.
The upper floor has a quite good cocktail bar, where music is at a level where conversation is comfortable. The basement with the main stage has a more basic bar (mostly beer, I think).
The sound on the main stage is usually very good, no matter what genre is on.
If you're into some experimental music experiences, make sure to keep Jazzhouse on the radar. Some of my best concert experiences in recent years have been here.
