This lovely museum gives you the ability to step into the past and see what life was like in old Scandinavia. The buildings, furnishings and working areas are set up so you can get a close up view of how people lived and worked in the days of long ago. You will be outside and inside as you tour the grounds so plan accordingly. The grounds are level but feature cobblestones, so wear comfortable shoes. We were pleased at the quality of the several gift shops, as they feature high quality goods and not the typical "souvenir trinkets".

It was so nice to visit there! it's place more for children but I was happy like child. So charming deer, nice big territory, you don't feel like in a Zoo but in living environments. It's absolutely free and it's a big plus because many attractions in Denmark are very expensive. Deer are friendly, many people buy carrot to feed them. Definitely it's place must to visit.

Really enjoyed walking around the gardens in the covered dome. Areas of the world are mapped out and simulated noises bring the areas to life.

You can climb up a viewing platform which is great and watch the butterflies flutter around.

Loved the giant lilly pads too! Well worth a visit.

Have a wander past Dokk1 to take in the architecture and don't miss the parking garage! The men in our group were fascinated by the 'park, get out, car disappears' system and would have watched for hours if we'd let them! There's also an upside-down cityscape down there - just look up!

Why do I like this Cathedral? Because it's simple but nice at same time. It's very light, I like such churches, when you can feel holy spirit but not pressure.

Incredible experience from a small museum. The staff were really helpful and the creation and curating of the museum is obviously a labour of love for those involved. I particularly enjoyed the interrogation experience and the interaction of the actors in the video presentations of the occupation experience, both very innovative.

WWI Memorial is definitely worth your visit and respect. The park of the royal summer castle is nice to see, you can imagine the queen sitting at her pool.

Very nice amusement park located in the outskirts of Aarhus. You can park the car just outside the entrance and the parking is free. The park is cozy and has a calm feel to it. It is great for families with children. There is a section with rides for the very young children, a section for the older children (and grown ups) and a section for the children in between. They have a variety of rides - for the cautious and for the daredevils. The rides are cheaper than in Tivoli in Copenhagen and the park is not nearly as crowded.
Nice day for the whole family.

I am so glad that it found this interesting and informative Museum. It takes you through the Development of Women’s Rights in Denmark from early days.
It highlights those special events and the women involved.
Have a look at the stained glass windows as you walk up the stairs
