- Zsófia SzalaiBudapest, Hungary3 contributionsThe view is absolutely astonishing but accessing the beach is hard.
If you visit Lefkada, Egremni is a must to see, but you’ll have to prepare yourself for a huge workout, because after you park your car in the parking area you’ll face a 2km walk downhill and then 400 steps down to the beach.
There is no shade in the area, so you must bring a parasol. The beach itself is not a fully sandy beach, anyone who says otherwise is lying, because there are a lot of rocks and pebbles at the shore, so consequently i would advise you bring some swimming shoes or something to protect your feet.
Overall, in my opinion it might be best to visit the beach on a boat ride because if you’re going to travel in the summer, the steps and the 2km long walk uphill in the heat is not worth it.Written October 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nick ALondon, UK5 contributionsan amazing place to be . so clean blue water . this beach is a diamond at Greece . it is a huge beach with plenty of space sunbeds etc . also close to the area are some cafes bars and restaurants . my only negative is that can be overcrowded so my advise is if you want to visit this beach go early in morning and find the right place for you ... enjoyWritten November 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Remus RDumbravita, Romania364 contributionsNarrow road to get there, small parking (not free) and than a 5 minute walk downhill to the actually beach.
A little hard to walk back up but, it worth the efort.
Lots of nice white small rocks, not so easy to enter and exit the water.

The beach is served by a good taverna, we enjoyed a very good traditional lunch. Beach is white pebbles and fairly easy to get in water, beach shoes helped! Had my mum (78) bit unsteady and managed to get her in the water for a swim, she loved it, very pretty and wound recommend for a lazy few hours.Written October 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Deborah W1 contributionWe stumbled across this monastery on our way to the airport and so glad we did. The kids loved the small zoo and gardens and the views were fantastic. Sadly we were there when the monastery itself closes between 2 and 4 so only saw the buildings and courtyard from outside but even that was beautiful and peaceful. Will def return another time to visit the monastery properly. There are donation boxes all round the zoo for people to donate to help the monastery look after the animals.Written August 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wanderlust46565Southampton, UK13 contributionsLovely relaxed environment. The lady who showed us around was knowledgeable and passionate about the wine process. The tour and wine tasting was free and lovely. We ended up buying a couple of bottles.

Wight (Isle of~) and Lefkada have the same rare and 'commensurate' in alliterative terms names. The Mikrow Gialos retails what all other equivalent beaches + have not retained

Not only did he welcome us onto his farm, but spent an hour with us. Andreas explained the background of his project; shared his experience of what has been growing great on his site and what less so; and let us try some of his produce (Citrus japonica, i.e. Kamquat; carrots; olive oil). Every question is patiently answered, with the passion of someone who has found connection with the soil and the humility of someone who knows a lot, yet is keen to learn even more. We came away knowing more about organic farming and olive oil production, and feeling encouraged by Andrea's determination, drive and love of nature. Thinking about returning one day to attend of his olive oil workshops. Thanks Andreas for your time and patience in showing us around your garden!Written January 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sorin zDrobeta-Turnu Severin, Romania5 contributionsNice autentic Greek Beach ⛱️, easy access by the 🚗 and on the foot, nice beach bar, bring with you the sun if it's needed, 10 euro 2 sunbeds and umbrela. Go for capucino on the bar, servings it's fast and you will find the view of the smarald ionian water.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - AndrewR941London, UK202 contributionsabsolutely beautiful beach , which we went to 3 days running. The road down is winding and down a hillside with several hairpins but its sealed all the way and isn't a too difficult drive up or down - just take it slowly. Parking near the beach at the Bar is limited but you should be able to tuck in somewhere nearby. The beach is beautiful, and the setting magnificent, the water is a beautiful set of blues and swimming easy. There are around 20 sets of parasols and beds for hire - 10 euros per parasol + 2 beds. The beach bar is lovely with stunning views, and a laid back vibe, great food and interesting dishes for a beach bar, but plays music too loud which slightly ruins the ambience. Overall the beach is a gem, and only spoilt by occasional cretins with drones or a stereo (but some people are just selfish and have few manners, or awareness of others, or themselves).Written September 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheLynamsLondon, UK78 contributionsNailbiting drive to get to it but as we had kids, this was our only local alternative to the steep hike to get to Port Egremni. Free parking and great friendly staff in the Medusa bar. Only 2 chemical toilets for the whole beach - the kind of place where people nip off to the bushes which isn't our kind of thing...Written August 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mila A7 contributionsA really nice little beach at the end of the town, however it is unbearably crowded! The whole place of Agios Nikitas is really nice, it is not messy at all, unlike most places in Greece, lovely coble stoned streets and nice architecture. Lots of excellent restaurants. Probably the best time for the visit would be June or September.Written August 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
