What travelers are saying
- robertvizitiuBucharest, Romania56 contributionsAn extraordinary beach and a mist seen for Lefkada, don't miss it.
Bad news is not organized and you have to bring everything with you, snacks ,drinks and very importnat an umbrella if you plan to stay all day.
Very important: don't forget you water shoes, there are a lot of small stones and is very painful to go jnto the sea .
The parking is 10 euro but if you park before the main parking area is free.Written September 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s practically a free workout! And if you’re lucky, you might even spot goats! They make the trek look easy and will definitely make you question your own fitness level. The beach itself? Totally worth it, especially with those thoughtfully placed stairs that serve as a gentle reminder of the epic climb awaiting you when you’re done relaxing. They really know how to make sure you get a full-body experience, not just a beach day! Overall I give it 5 stars, will visit it again!Written August 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sherpa23United Kingdom12 contributionsFantastic beach, hardly anyone there in October but still hot sun and warm water. The walk over the hill is not difficult if you wear trainers or similar and are reasonably fit (we're in our 60s, and don't have a problem, takes about 20 minutes). Take water with you and a towel to lie on (no facilities in October). The waves can sometimes be rough, but on other days the sea is perfectly calm and swimming there is just delicious. Clothes are optional.Written October 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kate L9 contributionsThat’s is an amazing beach with cold water and crystal clear blue sea ! Only down site is the price on the sunbeds and parking spaceWritten December 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - josefineHelsinki, Finland10 contributionsThe waterfall is very nice Even though there were hardly eny water. Only dirty water and some frogs. But it is a beautiful place, calm and nature at its Best. Only problem is the bar there: playing extremely loud music (Red Hot chiliepebbers Califonication). I found that very out of place. Leave nature be the only sound there.Written August 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- robertvizitiuBucharest, Romania56 contributionsThe beach has amazing sights but there are a lot of rocks and no sand.
Is not quite well organized, you have sunbeds but no beach bar, you have to climb about 6-70 stairs to get something to drink from the van in the parking lot.
The parking is 10 euros but beware the parking lady is quite aggresive and will chase you if you dont stop.
I would not recommend it for families with small children.Written October 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - HarpsHertfordshire, UK312 contributionsA lovely beach which is easy to get to by car unlike many other local beaches which can be quite stressful to drive to. Plenty of free parking too. Reasonably priced sunbeds under shades with wooden boardwalks. Pebbles into sea are quite painful for bare feet so some form of beach shoes are beneficial. Alternatively there are areas where you can bring your own chairs/umbrellas etc for free.Cafe/bar next to beach with staff who will take orders from your sunbed and bring drinks etc over to you. - BlueBoxsaWelwyn Garden City, UK202 contributionsLovely setting with views across the bay watching the sail boats come and go.
At the time of writing it’s really quiet but with signs of other activity as businesses set up for the season.
Sadly, there are also some negatives to report since we were last here. Building work is going on in several places … just down from the Rouda Village apartments, a large area of land has also been cleared between the port and the bay areas suggesting future development; but worst of all what appears to be a quarry has been established (not being worked at present though) right next to the Illyanthos Apartments! Madness! The huge pile of quarried rock has also covered what was a car park, which will seriously restrict parking provision in the height of the season.
Fortunately, the Zollithros restaurant continues to offer great food in an excellent location and now even has a small ‘roof garden’.Written May 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can enjoy drinks at the terrace next to the beach, while soming the beauty around you: mountain, beach and sea!Written August 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - il Căpitano VAPBucharest, Romania799 contributionsI came to this beach because from here you can take a taxi boat to Mylos beach, but unfortunately on that day because of the rough sea, there were races to Mylos beach.
The beach is small, there are no sunbeds
Access to the beach is on foot from the main road and is full of shops and taverns.
Parking only on the main road.Written July 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
