- Véronique B27 contributionsWonderful .. but a lot of people
The caldera is very beautiful.
It's better in the morning to avoid hot temperatures in summerWritten July 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of places to eat.Written August 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jimmy REpping, UK35 contributionsFantastic museum for €6. Loads of information of the history of the island, artwork from the Mycenaean colony etc. It’s well displayed, spaced out, was cool and had English translations - So it suited us just fine.Written August 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jimmy REpping, UK35 contributionsLovely black stone beach. Sea was really warm and renting a sun-lounger with beers and contains served was great. The stretch of bars was nice but a bit overwhelming with yours everywhere.Written August 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - eeellux4 contributionsYou will need an hour at the most. It would be nice to combine it with a dip in the ocean and lunch at the beach that is only 3-minute walk away.Written July 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bud VEnfield, Australia44 contributionsFabulous place to see the best Santorini sunset. Right on the point, so relaxing to unwind at the end of the day. Don’t miss the special place. Hire a scooter or quad bike if you need to!Written August 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ellz33Orlando, FL5 contributionsWe drove our car pretty far up which we didn’t know we could do. Parked by the round about area then hiked up. It was very windy but it was worth the beautiful views. It was about a 30 min hike. The stairs up are steep but after that its easier. The monuments are not as large as I was expecting but it was still nice to see. I would bring a jacket for cooler mornings or evenings not in peak summer.Written August 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jack VLos Angeles, CA1,421 contributionswe were driving the back streets on our ATV and ran across this cute little local vineyard. the wine and bites were perfect for a lite lunch. we liked the wine enough to grab a bottle to go. service is really good too. pretty winery off the beaten path but not too far off that is worth a visit. make sure to make a reservation.Written August 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - The_Glovers_UKLeeds, UK418 contributionsHaving done another wine tasting earlier in the week that was a little more expensive (ok quite a bit more) we weren’t sure what to expect here but thought we would give it a go nonetheless. The 8 wines for €18 was brilliant value and our guide explained the different production methodologies of each of the wines we tasted.Written July 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hana9 contributionsDefinitely recommend wet shoes! The beach is very pebbley and it is rocky to get into the sea and slippery. It can be hard on the feet and toes barefoot. You should definitely try snorkelling too, there so much to see in the water - lots of sea bream that you wouldn't know where there if you didn't have a look under the water.
The sand is very hot and there are lots of sunloungers linked to bars that customers can use for free. There are also lots of watersports activities you can make use of too, you can hire a boat with no need for a licence.Written August 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. That being said who doesn’t want their picture taken on the google image of Santorini? Their is a reason for the line and why every gift shop and attest uses this image to sell product. We did it and waiting for 15-20 min max it was hot but small price to payWritten August 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Geoff HSissinghurst, UK9,327 contributionsWith a beautiful interior and standing proud, and highly-colured, on the Fira skyline, the Cathedral of St John the Baptist is another location that should not be missed if you are in Fira. In my opinion, not quite as magnificent as the Cathedral Church of Candlemas of the Lord, it is a very close second.Written July 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James CMelton Mowbray, UK12 contributionsQuite simply, an absolutely stunning place to go to eat & drink! The views of the sunset are absolutely fantastic, the best one we saw during our whole time in Santorini. I had the wine tasting menu which is 5 different wines for €25 (great value!) and when they are served, our waiter who was a guy called Nikos gave us so much knowledge on how the wines are made, kept & served. And the food we tasted too was some of the best during our time in Santorini. This place is a MUST if you are in Santorini!Written August 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michael4 contributionsI am writing this review in my father's name who spent several holidays on Santorini. They have visited Eduart multiple times already because they like him personally but also his great work.

We had been on an organised coach trip of the island of Santorini and the alternate option to the cable car was the many steps down to the harbour which we did not fancy in the afternoon heat.
The cable car consist of two pairs of six cars, each car holding six persons. Each journey therefore takes up to thirty six people at a time and runs at frequent intervals throughout the day. We joined the back of a long queue overlooking the upper cable car station but this was continually shortening following each departure. The queue takes the traveller into the terminal building and access is controlled onto the cable car platform.
Travelling down the steep cliff in the cable car gave some marvellous panoramic views of he harbours with its azure sea contrasting against the lighter blue of the sky and the other islands in the distance. We also got elevated views of the two cruise ships in the harbour and their attendant tender vessels ferrying passengers to and from the harbour side. If you look to your left you will see the steps leading up the cliff face.
A tip for photographers who have not made the leading car, as the six cars cross the cable support pylons, they drop enough to see above the car(s) immediately ahead of you, enabling a clear shot for a few seconds.Written July 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
