Around 6km from Korissia. It is walkable but not pleasant along the unmade road. A clean lovely quiet beach with luxury beds, a fresh towel is supplied with a bottle of water in an ice bucket but at a cost 16 euros a day! Clear waters largely protected from the Myltemi winds. Apart from a small hut selling drinks, at a reasonable price, there are no other facilities. Despite this we enjoyed and rated this as 1 of the best beaches we visited.Written October 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jim GWakefield, UK281 contributionsComfortable beach beds but crammed in, unless on the outside or front row (extra 4 euros) limited room to manouvre. We visited several days in early September and it was quiet. At 10 euros not cheap for sunbed hire. There are 2 areas with similar sunbeds and umbrellas, the part of the beach in front of the taverna was not well maintained, probably around 80-90 sets beds on the beach. There is also a public beach with some shelter and toilet facilities. Most days there was a gentle or stiff breeze!
Apart from the taverna there is a small kiosk closeby which sells sandwiches and drinks. Several buses run daily in the peak season, we walked, around 5km from Korissia along a good road surface.Written October 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a place for parking your car and there are trees in case you don’t want to go to a beach bar. Very recommendable place!Written August 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paul THeadley, UK166 contributionsI'm not a huge museum fan. However, it's a small island and this is one of the things to do. It was actually very interesting. Only two floors worth, but some of the artefacts, the old vases etc. are fascinating - as they date from so long ago and yet are so well preserved and so beautifully made. A fascinating glimpse into the past and I'd definitely recommend a quick visit. It was only a few Euros to enter (seem to remember it was €4 or something similar).Written September 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MurphyMcCannIreland84 contributionsWe spent an entire afternoon here after a morning exploring parts of the island. The water was crystal clear and a few fish to see when snorkling but not much to keep you interested. Not very busy felt very safe but quite windy. Easy enough to get to by carWritten September 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nickos MAthens, Greece84 contributionsWe initi thought of visiting Koundouros, but it was too crowded, so we selected next beach and it was a wise decision. Much quieter, certainly prettier and you can still order some food or drinks at a beautiful beach bar. Only issue you cannot find any umbrellas if not booked two days ago!Written August 10, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anna ch14 contributionsThe beach was clean and the waters too. It’s a great sandy beach for a bath and relaxation. The access to the place needs patience though. It’s a rocky road and it takes some time to arrive. The beach is worth the time though.Written August 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ioannis EBrussels, Belgium63 contributionsThe site shows part of the older glory of industrial Greece. You may call it sighns of industrial archaeology. The remains are of a rather large industrial complex of an enamel factory. Unfortunately the area is closed for security reasons. What is positive is the near by open air industrial museum of the machinery of this once glorious (it was producing materials for the Greek army) factory.Written October 19, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
