If you're not afraid of walking for 30 minutes to arrive and 45 minutes to return, do not miss it !

It is a a very interesting archeological site where you can see a well preserved ancient theater as well as the remains of the temple of Apollo. You can take beatiful pictures and spend some hours to the two beaches next to the site.

We (a family of four) walked this ancient path a morning in August when the temprature was about 30 degrees . It is doable but you'll need to take a few breaks when returning . Wear atheltic shoes and get a bottle of water with you. Do not forget your swimsuit , the beach is great . You may leave your car at the start of Trail No 6

Very nice. The atmosphere was magical and the beach very clean. The food was also quite tasty. The service was not as fast, however given how crowded the beach was it is logical.

Comfortable beach beds but crammed in, unless on the outside or front row (extra 4 euros) limited room to manouvre. We visited several days in early September and it was quiet. At 10 euros not cheap for sunbed hire. There are 2 areas with similar sunbeds and umbrellas, the part of the beach in front of the taverna was not well maintained, probably around 80-90 sets beds on the beach. There is also a public beach with some shelter and toilet facilities. Most days there was a gentle or stiff breeze!
Apart from the taverna there is a small kiosk closeby which sells sandwiches and drinks. Several buses run daily in the peak season, we walked, around 5km from Korissia along a good road surface.

A very good place next to the port of Kea. The beach is clean with sand and easily accessible. There is a place for parking your car and there are trees in case you don’t want to go to a beach bar. Very recommendable place!

However as a taverna owner said to us , its not the destination it is the journey. We had moored up in Vourkari harbour and decided to hike up to the village and Lion, what a fabulous day. Some of our hike was on roads, some on trails and some on very overgrown trails. It would be too easy to get a taxi up and down, hiking was so much better to take in the scenery, it took us circa 8 hours, but that included a number of drink drops and also a long late lunch.

There are several routes to this beach but only 1 that can be reached by car along an unmade road. Around 6km from Korissia. It is walkable but not pleasant along the unmade road. A clean lovely quiet beach with luxury beds, a fresh towel is supplied with a bottle of water in an ice bucket but at a cost 16 euros a day! Clear waters largely protected from the Myltemi winds. Apart from a small hut selling drinks, at a reasonable price, there are no other facilities. Despite this we enjoyed and rated this as 1 of the best beaches we visited.

A nice empty beach at the end of a lovely walk from Ioulida. But be warned: don't walk there expecting to be able to get a taxi back. When we called for one, we were told no taxis come to Spathi. Luckily some kind ladies gave us a lift out of there (we really didn't want to do another 3 hour walk back with insufficient water), and having now seen the road I understand why taxis won't go there.

We initi thought of visiting Koundouros, but it was too crowded, so we selected next beach and it was a wise decision. Much quieter, certainly prettier and you can still order some food or drinks at a beautiful beach bar. Only issue you cannot find any umbrellas if not booked two days ago!

I'm not a huge museum fan. However, it's a small island and this is one of the things to do. It was actually very interesting. Only two floors worth, but some of the artefacts, the old vases etc. are fascinating - as they date from so long ago and yet are so well preserved and so beautifully made. A fascinating glimpse into the past and I'd definitely recommend a quick visit. It was only a few Euros to enter (seem to remember it was €4 or something similar).
