    tasting food in Rethymno
    We booked this tour the very last minute and they were very accomodating. Our tour guide Nora usually does yours in french but since we booked last minute, it worked well anyway and she was great.
    She gave us a good overview of the history and took us to the back streets and away from the crowd. Lunch and breakfast were delicious and we really enjoyed the olive oil tasting.

    Top quality olive oil tasting.
    Very informative and enjoyable tour of this boutique olive oil producer. Top quality oil which you can buy in a variety of sizes. We tasted a variety of oils and came away very knowledgeable. Both the tour and oil prices are very good value.
    Our taxi driver did get lost en route, so would be an idea to get him to phone the factory for precise directions.

    Experience the Real Crete
    This is a must!!! It was one of the most authentic days that we’ve ever had on our travels. Not only did we learn a lot about Crete and the Cretan people, we were given the history of this beautiful land. So many to thank for our full and enjoyable day. Alexander was a wealth of information and you can tell he really loves his job but more importantly Crete. He really shouldn’t be so good at this as we will all be moving here to join him. Dimitri was an incredible driver who steered us through many tight roads and hills. He reminded me that I should wear my long sleeved sweater as their are many brambles on the Truffle hunting trip and I was glad I did.
    Thank you to Niko and his Truffle hunting dog that we all fell in love with. What an amazing experience to have. We found a few truffles which was so exciting as it’s just the start of the new truffle season.
    Our cooking class and dinner with Nikofaro was unforgettable, an experience we will never forget. The hospitality shown to us was beyond words. I wish we could relive the experience again and again. So very glad we got away from the resort and experienced Crete.

    Great Food-Great Wine-Wonderful Experience
    Tia was a pleasure to be with for the day - a very pleasant young lady who truly wants a you to enjoy your visit. We tasted quote a bit of very good local wine and enjoyed a very informative cooking lesson with an energetic young local chef. We had more excellent food than we knew what to do with! Freshest ingredients with a simple and elegant preparation. I Highly Recommend!!

    Great food and atmosphere
    Our guides: Zhanna and Alyona were the best! They cared so much about our experience. They took the time to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and gave wonderful descriptions about all that we saw. Went went to the Boutari vineyards and Hani for an authentic Cretian lunch at a local taverna.

    We are already looking forward to going back to Crete!

I will go to Crete in August 2018 and I want to go somewhere where I can SURF. Note that I have never surfed before so I would like to know if there's a place or a beach where there's a surf club where they can teach you the basics.

Answer: There are good reviews of this surf club who have instructors, on TA, in the far west of the island and with a very limited bus service if that matters. You would need to fly to Chania airport (not Heraklion, as there are two international airports).
