What travelers are saying
- EppingGirlieHertford, UK76 contributionsWe booked tickets in advance so had a timed slot - we didn’t join the queue just found a shady spot to wait until it went down just after the hour and went in. Not too busy and great to see. Slightly embarrassed to read it was the Brits who had done the most damage to the site by taking key parts to the British museum !Written September 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lauren MBirmingham, AL, USA5 contributionsWalked here after enjoying the Acropolis. Great spot to listen to music, grab ice cream or dinner and enjoy Athens! There are always a few locals playing music which add to the ambiance.Written August 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aleksandar K28 contributionsLooks really impressive and the surrounding area is very green. A good look at the Acropolis. Audioguide was okay and I was a bit dissapointed with the tunnel area.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aleksandar K28 contributionsGot pretty tired while climbing and was crowded in the afternoon, but the view is spectacular and there's a lot of cats in the meanwhile :) Cute church at the top with restaurants and restrooms( appreciated).Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aleksandar K28 contributionsReally positively surprised by this one. Expected more from the Acropolis museum, but liked this one more. For a lower price, you have much more to see here.Written September 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NICHOLAS TDubai, United Arab Emirates9,847 contributionsThis is one of the best preserved ancient monuments in Athens.
The temple still has impressive carvings and the pillars are mostly intact.
It is located in the broader Agora archeological site which offers great views of The Acropolis and various other sites.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you want to go inside you will need to book to see a concert there as it is still an active venue!Written August 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stacey SoleilTulsa, OK21 contributionsSuch a glorious and otherworldly view. The entire trip I felt like I was a fabulous character in a book versus being an actual person who was standing there looking at all of these ruins. I often wonder if the people who live there take their views for granted. I could go back time and time again.Written September 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ldgp14Telford, UK3,353 contributionsThe Erechtheion is a unique temple of the Acropolis as it is asymmetrical which isn't seen in ancient Greek design. The Caryatids on this temple are in good condition and really good to see, this is another excellent example on the Acropolis of Ancient Greek engineering.Written August 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
