This was such a surreal experience. Beautiful in every sense, wish we could have went in but was still amazing nonetheless. Definitely a top attraction in Athens to visit

Wonderful show! I had the time of my life! Great way to get to know Greek culture better. You do not know Greece at all if you do not know its many dances.

During a short business trip in Athens, I stayed at a hotel right next to this theatre (Athens One Smart Hotel) where I found a poster from the theatre about an opera show. I ended up going to two shows there. They were both really good and in the show called "Sunday tea with Mozart," although I have been to more glamorous opera shows, I heard some of the best voices I have ever heard with my own ears. I would have attended more shows had the trip been longer, and I would have gone to see the opera show again just to hear these voices.

It had been a while since I had attended a concert at the Olympia Municipal Music Theatre "Maria Callas". A historic building located in the heart of Athens city center, representing one of Athens oldest and most established venues. This city landmark has served Greek culture for many years, hosting concerts and performances by famous and international artists including the great Greek soprano Maria Callas, whose legacy is commemorated also in the new name of this historic venue.

On 24 January 2024, this same important theatre hosted a special and a different concert by the equally special and different Greek singer Thodoris Voutsikakis (Θοδωρής Βουτσικάκης). This time Thodoris in collaboration with the Greek Music Workshop of the Municipality of Athens was able to unfold the rich history of Greek songs and music, taking the audience in a journey through time to experience and enjoy famous Greek songs written by the most established Greek composers, lyricists, and poets. Thodoris was very eclectic in his choice of songs which were truly diverse, covering a wide range of Greek musical styles and genres, and which Thodoris’ voice was equally able to serve well. Indeed, his versatility enables him to perform across a wide range of musical styles. What really makes Thodoris’ performance stand out, however, goes beyond his genuine talent and melodious voice. It is the sensitivity and transparency of his soul that adds a lot and is reflected in the quality of his voice and equally surfaces his performance overall.

The exceptionally superior quality of this concert and performance was further supported and enhanced by the good acoustics of this theatre, allowing the sound to travel and reach the audience even when they were siting far away from the stage.
Highly recommended for lovers of good art and the Greek spirit!

    So much fun!
I LOVE theater! I had expected a tourist trap but got a full blown professional level.thrayrical.experience, in English, with the Acropolis as the backdrop.
This original hilarious show mixed bits and pieces of myths with classical plays. The 4 actors were so engaging and funny.
You also get a glass of wine and a bottle of water with your ticket as well as a light cover up if the night is chilly.
A terrific albeit little known experience.

An impressive building on a main thoroughfare has been the home of the National Theatre since its foundation in the early 1930s.

From the unveiling of the building in 1901 as the Royal Theatre, up till the 1930s it suffered some decline following the assassination of the King in 1913.

It reopened in 2009 after a substantial overhaul and renovation.

It was an amazing night. A book about Diego Maradona was published, and the Argentinian author came to Greece to present it with football legends!

One of the most stylish buildings that was created for the Olympic Games in 2004, the Badminton Theatre has been made good use of ever since. It's located in the Goudi Park in the centre of Athens, which makes it ideal for all sorts of events - and it's been prepared for that. It has been turned into a beautiful theatre with great lighting and acoustics, and the more well-to-do Athenians and tourists can follow cultural events like opera, concerts and plays there.

Visited the theatre for a concert.
Theatre is small but from the time is within the park with trees and green around is very beautiful and acoustic.
Only issue is that in specific concert were for some seats double tickets and was an issue!

Topos Allou Theater is situated in Kypseli. One of the busiest areas very near the center of Athens. It presents an innovative performance all in the English language and a very creative Mask workshop for all ages. We had the best time.
